Sadang Station bar for tomato hangover pasta and mixed BBQ: Weizenhaus
In short
Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1 is a duplex craft beer and wood-fired pizza bar on the basement level right in front of Exit 11 of Sadang Station in Seocho, Seoul. A friend and I ordered the prosciutto pizza at 22,000 won, tomato hangover pasta at 12,000 won and the mixed BBQ platter at 24,000 won, pairing the brothy pasta with smoky grilled meat. With wide, stepped seating across two levels, Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1 works just as well for a big group dinner as for drinks with one friend.

After a hectic week of work, sometimes all you want on the way home is a cold beer to shake off the fatigue. 🍺
I kept thinking about the combo of authentic wood-fired pizza — crispy crust, fresh toppings piled high — with craft beer. 🍕
I happened to have plans with a friend near Sadang, so I looked for a bar where we could enjoy hearty food and a relaxed chat, and this is where we ended up. 🏃♂️

How close is Weizenhaus to Sadang Station Exit 11?
Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1 sits right in front of Exit 11 at Sadang Station, where line 2 and line 4 meet, so even on my first visit I found it in no time. 🚉

A big signboard marks the dedicated staircase down to the basement, so I didn't have to wander through a maze of alleys to find it. 📍
Being right next to the station made it super convenient to get to by public transit, and it looked easy to reach even in rain or bad weather. ☔
Is the duplex seating good for group dinners?
Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1 has a stepped two-level duplex layout, so neither floor feels cramped. Heading down the stairs and through the door, the hall was much bigger and more comfortable than I'd imagined from outside. 🏢

The open, stepped duplex interior means there's no stuffy feeling wherever you sit, upstairs or downstairs. 🪜

The tables are spaced generously apart, so noise wasn't an issue — perfect for a group gathering or a work dinner. 🪑
What's on the menu at Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1?

Flipping through the menu, the lineup was really varied — from their own house-brewed craft beers to authentic wood-fired pizzas, pasta, and BBQ platters. 📋
Each dish was clearly described with its ingredients and features, which made it easy to choose even on a first visit. 📝
The free bar snack: shrimp chips

As soon as we sat down, the staff brought over cold water and a generous plate of crispy shrimp chips as a complimentary snack. 🦐
Prosciutto pizza, 22,000 won

The prosciutto pizza came out freshly baked not long after ordering, and the rich cheese aroma hit us the second it landed on the table. 🍕
Fresh green arugula and salty, cured prosciutto were piled generously across the whole crust. 🌿
Fresh out of the wood-fired oven, the crust was crispy outside and chewy inside, clean and not greasy even at the edges — a great match with the craft beer. 🧀
Tomato hangover pasta, 12,000 won

I picked the tomato hangover pasta as a brothy dish to go with the pizza, and it arrived neatly plated on a wide white ceramic dish. 🍝
It was loaded with plump mussels, giving off a briny sea aroma along with a deeply simmered tomato sauce flavor. 🦪
The broth was on the soupy side, and the corn and vegetables blended in with a gentle spicy savoriness that soaked well into the springy noodles. 🍅
Mixed BBQ platter, 24,000 won

A wooden tray arrived piled high with smoked sausage, a hefty pork shoulder steak, and golden-grilled chicken thigh BBQ. 🪵
Cutting in with the dedicated knife revealed juicy meat still moist inside, with a deep, subtle smoky char on the outside. 🥩
We enjoyed it with the mustard sauce, house cream sauce, tangy sauerkraut, and lemon wedges served alongside for variety. 🍋
Is Weizenhaus Bangbae Branch 1 worth a visit?

Thanks to the spacious duplex seating and comfortable atmosphere, I got to enjoy a laid-back, good time catching up with friends I hadn't seen in a while. ✨
