In short
Sutbul Seonghwa (숯불성화) is a charcoal-grilled beef restaurant on Songnidan-gil near Seokchon Station in Songpa, Seoul. The signature Seonghwa Platter 400g (88,900 won) brought snowflake beef, cubed flower rib and marinated rib finger, grilled in that order, alongside cheese steamed egg, spicy Korean beef hangover ramen and snowflake beef spicy jjapaguri. When you want a tasty meal with someone special on the weekend, beef is always the hardest thing to decide on, right? 🥩 Out of all the Songnidan-gil BBQ places, I was looking for somewhere I could comfortably enjoy a juicy bite, and that's how I ended up at Sutbul Seonghwa (숯불성화) near Seokchon Station. 💡
Sutbul Seonghwa opening hours and parking
Sutbul Seonghwa is at 17 Songpa-daero 48-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the 1st floor, and it's open 11:00–01:00. Break time is 15:00–17:00, last order is 00:00, reservations and groups are fine, corkage is free, and parking is listed as free too.
If you turn into the alley between Sutbul Seonghwa and Danmak, there's a free parking lot beside the building with no barrier. From 17:00 to 22:00 in the evening there's valet for ₩3,000. The space is small, so you may need to use a paid lot nearby.
Sutbul Seonghwa exterior and dining room

Sutbul Seonghwa sits in a neat alley close to Seokchon Station. 📍 I followed the map, and the stylish exterior with its soft lighting made it easy to spot from far away. 🏢

Inside, the ventilation is good, so there was none of that usual BBQ smoke and it felt fresh. 🍃 The tables are spaced generously too, a nice layout for chatting comfortably with your group while you eat. 🪑
How to order at Sutbul Seonghwa and the review event

Every table has its own tablet, so you can order right from your seat. 📱 The photos and descriptions for each cut are detailed, which made choosing really intuitive. 📋
On the tablet I also saw a detailed notice for a seriously generous receipt review event. 🎁 Verify one receipt and you get a highball; collect three and you get Korean beef yukhoe (seasoned raw beef), so do join in! 🎉
What side dishes come with the beef at Sutbul Seonghwa?

The side dishes are plentiful: seasoned radish strips (musaengchae), pickled onion, scallion salad, white kimchi and a few sauces. 🧂 They're neatly laid out and balance the meat perfectly, and the sweet-spicy radish was so good I kept reaching for it. 🥗
Spicy Korean beef hangover ramen for 10,000 won: how does it taste?

The spicy Korean beef hangover ramen (얼큰한우해장라면, ₩10,000) I picked as a meal had a deep flavor right from the broth. 🍜 It came in a metal pot loaded with Korean beef, so the broth was rich, and the bean sprouts and scallions added a refreshing note that really cleared my head. 🌶️
Seonghwa Platter 400g for 88,900 won: which beef cuts are included?

Our pick was Sutbul Seonghwa's signature, the Seonghwa Platter 400g (₩88,900). 🥩 This time we grilled snowflake beef, cubed flower rib and marinated rib finger in that order, and the beef on the cutting board, fresh and snowflake-marbled, was overwhelming from the very first look. 🎨
Snowflake beef (nunkkotsal)

Snowflake beef, the first cut we put on, is charming for its dense marbling. 🔥 Grilled lightly over the strong charcoal fire and eaten while it held its juices, it melted away, leaving a nutty richness. 🫠
Cheese steamed egg for 7,000 won

The cheese steamed egg (치즈계란찜, ₩7,000) we ordered as a side came puffed up over the rim of the earthenware pot. 🍳 Cheddar melted over the soft egg, and the moist, rich flavor filled my whole mouth. 💛
Cubed flower rib (kkakttuk kkotgalbisal)

Next was the cubed flower rib, which caught my eye by arriving thickly cut into cubes, just like its name. 🎲 I seared all the sides quickly to lock in the juices, and biting in, I got the full burst of rich beefy aroma. 🥩
Marinated rib finger (yangnyeom neukgansal)

After enjoying the raw cuts, the last one we grilled was the marinated rib finger, gently soaked in a special sauce. 🍯 The marinade isn't too salty or too sweet and lets the meat shine, so it stayed clean and never got tiring down to the last bite. 🪵
Finishing with snowflake beef spicy jjapaguri for 13,000 won

The grand finale was another meal dish with a flashy look: the snowflake beef spicy jjapaguri (눈꽃살 매콤 짜파구리, ₩13,000), Chapagetti-and-Neoguri noodles. 🦝 Tender snowflake beef topped the spicy, chewy noodles, a perfect match of meat and spicy noodles. 🍝
Is Sutbul Seonghwa worth it? Final verdict

Sutbul Seonghwa lets you enjoy top-quality beef in a good set composition in a pleasant space, and I was very satisfied throughout the meal. 👏 Why not visit Sutbul Seonghwa at Seokchon Station with someone special this weekend and have a hearty meat party?
