Where to eat ramen in Euljiro: Mentsuru Euljiro Branch
Mentsuru Euljiro Branch (멘츠루 을지로점) is a Japanese-style ramen shop close to Exit 11 of Euljiro 3-ga Station. I was in Euljiro recently for an appointment, and my friend and I both loved this ramen spot, so I'm sharing it with you~ The hip Euljiro area has so much food and so many hot spots, but picking a place is kind of a headache, isn't it?

Mentsuru Euljiro Branch! Not only is the broth rich, the shop itself is clean and neat, so it's perfect if you're looking for an Euljiro lunch spot or a place to eat alone in Chungmuro.
How to get to Mentsuru Euljiro Branch
It's honestly a stone's throw from Exit 11 of Euljiro 3-ga Station.

The exterior has plenty of Japanese vibes, and they say solo meals and solo drinking are both welcome haha

How long is the wait at Mentsuru Euljiro Branch?
There may be a wait at Mentsuru Euljiro Branch, but turnover is fast, so you'll get in within 5 to 10 minutes haha

Mentsuru Euljiro Branch menu and drinks
Mentsuru Euljiro Branch has motsu ramen, also called beef intestine ramen. The chicken skin gyoza (dumplings) looked good too, so I ordered it as a side. And of course I ordered the tsukemen (dipping noodles) as well~~~~

They sell drinks too, including Japanese soda. There are watermelon, melon and peach flavors, so it's fun to pick one.

They also have beer, highballs and soju. Go for whatever you're in the mood for~~~

Full Japanese feel haha. Ramen is delicious no matter how often I eat it.

Seating at Mentsuru Euljiro Branch: solo or group?
Mentsuru Euljiro Branch is mostly counter seating wrapped around an open kitchen. You can slurp in peace without worrying about anyone watching, so I really recommend it if you're looking for a place to eat alone.

My friend and I sat at a two-person table. There are tables, so bigger groups can sit too. Even four people, no worries.

Yuzu pickled radish and the receipt review perk
The side dish at Mentsuru Euljiro Branch is pickled radish (danmuji) with yuzu, and it's, as expected, so good. Exactly my taste haha

If you write a Naver receipt review, they give you fried gyoza. Save ₩5,000~~~~~~

The chicken skin gyoza comes as 4 pieces in total. Two people can share without fighting over it.

While waiting and smelling that toasty aroma, the glistening bowls of ramen finally arrived!! Don't they look delicious~~~~~~

- Motsu ramen ₩15,000
- Tsukemen ₩14,000
- Chicken skin gyoza ₩5,000

Mentsuru motsu ramen: how does the beef intestine taste?
The motsu ramen (₩15,000) at Mentsuru Euljiro Branch is generously topped with beef intestine! Wow... I almost screamed the second I saw it, haha. The smoky char on the intestine is no joke, and the moment you bite in, rich, nutty intestine fat bursts in your mouth. Honestly, it's crazy ㅠㅠ

The broth is spicy, and the nuttiness of the intestine melts into it, giving a really hearty, deep flavor. It's not greasy, which makes it even better;;
The noodles are chewy and springy too, so they cling to the rich intestine instead of keeping apart. If you like beef intestine, you absolutely have to order the motsu ramen!!

Let's dig in properly. The spiciness holds back the richness, so you never get sick of it and just keep slurping haha. Best of all, the portion is big, so even guys won't feel short.

How to eat Mentsuru tsukemen
The tsukemen (₩14,000) at Mentsuru Euljiro Branch comes with noodles and broth served separately, and you dunk the noodles into the sauce! The noodles are super thick and plump, and amazingly springy. Even eaten on their own, the chew is chewy perfection haha

You dip the noodles into the rich chashu (braised pork) sauce, which is the soup, and lift them out to eat. The sauce is really thick and packed with savory depth!

Chicken skin gyoza topped with yuzu pickled radish
Suddenly trying the chicken skin gyoza, haha. Totally my style;;

Put a little pickled radish on top and eat it in one bite. It's seriously delicious this way too.

Mm, the noodles are good too. With ramen the noodles matter, nod nod.

Dipping seaweed and chashu together into the tsukemen sauce. This is it!!!!

Final thoughts on Mentsuru Euljiro Branch
Mentsuru Euljiro Branch, an Euljiro ramen favorite, has cozy counter seating that's great for eating alone, plus beef intestine-loaded motsu ramen and rich, sticky tsukemen. Every single menu item is really good quality haha
