It's very easy to reach from the station, and the staff explained the parking so conveniently that I was happy from the first visit. I loved the private feel of having a whole house, and the garden inside is beautifully done.

When you arrive, the red brick exterior stands out right away, with vines wrapped prettily around it. Inside, there's a huge picture window overlooking the garden. The garden makes the space feel relaxed, and the whole place has an old, traditional atmosphere. Maybe because it has run skin care in Cheongdam for a long time, you can feel the expertise everywhere.

A neighborhood regular shop always has its reasons, right? Clermont Monde gave me the impression of a salon with long-built experience and know-how. Above all, it's a standalone house with lots of rooms, so you can be treated privately without worrying about other people's eyes, which I liked.

How does the consultation at Clermont Monde work?

The consultation happens first, on the 1st floor. They run bridal care and skin care but also a wide range of body care programs, and that day I chose lower-body care. They even asked which aroma scents I dislike. So thoughtful!

I'd been doing a lot of walking workouts lately, especially climbing uphill a lot, so my calves were seriously knotted, hahaha. When someone who rarely walks starts exercising, the calves are shocked… They hurt at the slightest touch, so I wanted my lower body treated intensively.

Changing room and a private room on the 2nd floor

After the consultation, I got ready in a clean, tidy changing room. Seeing my calves after a while, they looked unrecognizably ugly… what a shock, T_T. The muscles were clearly really knotted.

After changing, I went up to the 2nd-floor rooms of Clermont Monde. There are several treatment rooms on the 2nd floor, and I was able to relax in a private room of my own.

Is the pressure of the lower-body care at Clermont Monde strong?

The treatment I got among Clermont Monde's body care was a lower-body massage with aroma oil, and the pressure was firmer than I expected. My back-of-the-leg area was very swollen, so I spent almost the whole time on the back side and couldn't take photos of the treatment. The therapist's hands were really impressive. Experienced hands, you could say? She seemed to know exactly where and how to massage to release and relax, and from start to finish she worked every corner thoroughly without hesitation.

Because it used aroma oil, I assumed it would be gentle, so the firm pressure made me even happier! My calves were especially stiff, maybe from all the recent uphill walking, and she spent plenty of time on them intensively. (It hurt like crazy but felt so good…) On the calves she focused on the knotted muscle spots, and on the thighs she intensively treated the cellulite areas I'd been worried about, T_T.

Thigh cellulite, and from the soles to the pelvis

I personally have some cellulite on my thighs, and the pressure feels different depending on how much cellulite there is. The Clermont Monde therapist who looked after me worked through my lower body as if possessed. She said she gets greedy when she sees areas that need care, haha, and treated me really thoroughly. Her hands were so skilled and delicate that I trusted her. When the pressure was too much, I told her along the way. It hurt but felt refreshing, and I personally really liked it.

Clermont Monde's lower-body care wasn't only the calves and thighs. While I lay there, she massaged from the soles with really refreshing thoroughness, and carefully treated the glutes and the pelvis area as well. Because the whole lower body was treated as one connected piece, I felt even more refreshed, and at the end she finished with a toe massage and lower-body heat therapy.

How did my calves feel after the lower-body care?

Right after the treatment, my lower body felt tingly and light, and by evening my calves definitely felt less tight. Above all, I liked that she didn't skip over a single area. There was almost no talking during the treatment, just super-focused massage, and it felt so good... Tingly, light legs, hahaha, I feel really refreshed!!!! My calves are still lumpy, but by evening they definitely feel less tight!!!
