Seongsu terrace wine bar: a Catch Table terrace seat at Huirit

Huirit (희릿) is a terrace restaurant and wine bar in Seongsu, near Seoulsup Station. On the last day of the holiday, I finally made it to the Huirit terrace seats I'd had saved for 2 years. The outdoor-drinking girl is back~~~✌️ Did you have a good golden holiday???? I came back from Australia and there was another holiday right away, so I adjusted to Korea without any trouble, haha.

Last year the holidays were super long because Chuseok (Korean harvest festival) ran into Hangul Day, remember? haha. I was in Korea then, so I'd made a list of everything I wanted to do, but the weather was bad and I couldn't do a single thing, so I was totally grumpy 😤😤. This year, maybe because I'd already scratched the travel itch abroad, or maybe I was still tired, I just lay around for two whole days of the holiday. Even though the weather was amazing..!!!!! Has my heart aged in the meantime and the little romance I had left disappeared? T_T

Honestly, even on the last day I just wanted to lie there, weather or no weather, haha. But I knew this is weather I can't enjoy once winter comes, so I dragged myself out, lol. This year the weekends have had really nice weather and spring and autumn feel pretty long. Maybe that's why I'm not desperate about sunny days..! Getting used to things is really scary..

How do you book a terrace seat at Huirit?

You can book Huirit through either Naver Reservation or Catch Table, but you can only choose a terrace seat on Catch Table. I dragged myself out for the first time in a while, so I had to go somewhere good enough to match the effort, right!!? The Seongsu terrace spot I'd listed 2 years ago was Huirit!!!! The year before last the terrace seats were fully booked, and last year every time I tried to go it was cold or rainy, lol.

Omg,,, the Huirit terrace welcomed me the moment I walked in~~!!! Outdoor-drinking girls of Korea! Let's go to Catch Table!

Huirit indoor seating: bar tables, 2nd-floor group seats and a room for 4–5

The inside of Huirit is divided into separate spaces, so you can chat in a quiet atmosphere! There are also bar tables at the bar and by the window, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a daytime drink or a solo wine bar in Seongsu~~

There was also a room that seats 4–5 people. There are seats in every corner, haha. So I think you can enjoy it more privately.

How is Huirit's Beef Wellington? (₩39,000, pre-order)

Huirit's Beef Wellington is ₩39,000 and it's a pre-order menu, meaning you have to order it in advance when you book. It doesn't win only on cute atmosphere like this! Huirit is actually famous as a Seongsu pasta restaurant, and since they had pasta and Beef Wellington, I ordered both?? And this place is a Beef Wellington place!!!! I once saw a celebrity eating Beef Wellington in Paris and went to that restaurant, but it was sooo expensive, lol, so I ate something else T_T. Grudge fully settled!

Inside, the tenderloin was cooked perfectly moist, and the outside was crisp like pastry with great buttery flavor!!! You have to eat the bread, meat and sauce together to level up the flavor!!! Beef Wellington is a pre-order menu, so be sure to order ahead when you book and try this delicious meat ◡̈

Mentaiko shrimp oil pasta and a glass of Cabernet

Huirit's mentaiko shrimp oil pasta (명란 새우 오일 파스타, pasta with spicy pollock roe and shrimp) is ₩18,000. As a Seongsu pasta restaurant, they do pasta well too~~~ And the portion is big! The roe isn't salty, haha. The garlic chives seem to balance things between the oil and the roe.

Oh, and I also ordered a glass of red wine. It was a Cabernet, ₩8,000 a glass! The day before yesterday I also finished a bottle of red by myself;; since coming back from Australia, drinking with meals has become routine.. My boyfriend had a Coke Zero! Because…

He hurt his leg… What does it say about me that I took my boyfriend on crutches to a wine bar…

But he said thank you because the Beef Wellington was so good, so it's fine~~ haha. He scraped the plate clean, haha.

Is Huirit a good Seongsu and Seoulsup terrace restaurant?

Huirit was on the outdoor-drinking girl's terrace list! I strongly recommend it as a Seongsu terrace spot and a Seoulsup terrace spot. The atmosphere is so pretty that I'd also recommend it to anyone looking for a Seongsu date restaurant~~ Where should I go for outdoor drinks next~~

The weather was sooo nice and I'd finally come out, so I wanted to go for another outdoor beer, and my boyfriend said he'd come along, but he looked so tired walking on crutches that… we went to Catoon (a cat café) and rested instead T_T. Will my resolution to make the most of outdoor drinking in October fail because of his injury?! To be continued~~~~
