Cozy Hapjeong roastery café, beans & storage containers: Central Site
In short
Central Site Hapjeong is a roastery café near Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul. On a Hapjeong date with a friend, the writer followed a staff recommendation and ordered two hand-drip coffees, the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelbesa Washed (9,000 won) and the Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed (8,000 won), with a classic tiramisu. The verdict: the aroma of house-roasted coffee, a not-too-sweet tiramisu and a cozy atmosphere make Central Site Hapjeong a café worth coming back to.

Central Site Hapjeong is a roastery café right in front of Hapjeong Station. I was on a date with a friend in Hapjeong when we spotted a café with a great mood!! It was Central Site Hapjeong.
It's right in front of Hapjeong Station so it's easy to reach, and since they roast their own beans, I especially recommend it to coffee lovers!! This time I visited Central Site Hapjeong, which is also known as a great dessert spot. The desserts were so satisfying that I want to introduce it to you.
Where is Central Site Hapjeong, and what about hours and parking?

It's 2 minutes from Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station, so it works well as a meeting spot and is an easy stop on a date.

You can even see the space where they roast the beans, so it really feels like a café serious about coffee~
What's the atmosphere at Central Site Hapjeong like?

Overall Central Site Hapjeong has a calm, warm mood~ The soft lighting made it feel even cozier, and coffee-related props are placed all around, so it was fun to look around. 👀

There are window seats too, so it's good for spending time alone with a coffee, and comfortable for chatting with a friend. If you're looking for a Hapjeong café with a nice mood, this should satisfy you, right? The vibe was so good~ The tables and chairs were pretty too, so I was eyeing them with total greed, haha.
How do you choose a hand-drip bean at Central Site?

Central Site Hapjeong has a really wide variety of hand-drip beans, and I agonized over what to pick. I asked the staff for a recommendation, and they kindly explained the nutty types and the acidic types, so I ordered one of each.

You can smell the roasted beans and buy them too~ The bean storage container — I was planning to buy one of those myself... but seeing it in person, I felt like I had to, haha (Prepara bean storage container, medium glass airtight container).

You can watch the brewing process up close too~ 🤎

How did the Chelbesa Washed and Entre Volcanes Washed taste?

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelbesa Washed | ₩9,000
The Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelbesa Washed is charming, with gentle acidity and a fragrant floral aroma. It goes down cleanly, and a fresh scent lingers in your mouth, so I'd recommend it to anyone who likes acidic coffee~ The Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed was definitely darker in color!

Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed | ₩8,000
The Guatemala Entre Volcanes Washed is a bean with a nutty yet soft sweetness. It's more balanced than heavy, so anyone can enjoy it easily. A taste nobody will dislike!!!
As you'd expect from a place that roasts its own, the aroma and flavor of the coffee were really good. No wonder people call it a coffee hotspot.
Does the classic tiramisu at Central Site go well with coffee?

Central Site Hapjeong has 3 kinds of tiramisu, and I ordered the classic tiramisu. I thought only the coffee would be good, but the dessert was better than I expected~

The classic tiramisu cake's cream wasn't overly sweet, and its nutty richness was a work of art~ It melts softly in your mouth, so you take one bite and then another~ So so soft!

Eaten with the hand-drip coffee in particular, it brought out even more of the coffee's aroma. With hand-drip coffee, you absolutely have to order the tiramisu! The sweetness isn't overwhelming, so it's a perfect dessert to have alongside coffee.
Why I recommend Central Site Hapjeong as a Hapjeong date café

If you're on a date near Hapjeong Station and looking for a café to rest for a while, I'd recommend Central Site Hapjeong. Thanks to the house-roasted beans the coffee was great, and the tiramisu was satisfying too! The mood is cozy and access is easy, so it's a café I'd want to revisit next time I'm in Hapjeong. If you love coffee, do stop by.
