Hapjeong Station café: most acidic drip & thick tiramisu, Central Site
In short
Central Site Hapjeong (센트럴사이트 합정점) is a hand-drip roastery café on Yanghwa-ro 7-gil in Mapo, Seoul. After smelling the beans, the writer ordered Ethiopia Gesha Village and Guatemala Entre drip coffee plus a classic tiramisu (8,500 won). Even the bean billed as the most acidic had a pleasant, gentle orange-blossom brightness, and the tiramisu cream was firm rather than soft and not too rich. Central Site Hapjeong is a Hapjeong Station café worth returning to whenever you crave hand-drip coffee.

What is the atmosphere like at Central Site Hapjeong?

The café has an open layout, so you can sit outside like at a street-side café, and inside there's a bar seat facing the street. Central Site opened its Yeonnam branch first, and the Hapjeong branch is the recent one. It's great for solo café time, and just as comfortable with a group!

There's a roasting space inside the café too! The beans get roasted live right there, and I caught myself zoning out watching it, haha.

You can also help yourself to cold lemon water.

You can smell the drip beans before choosing
At Central Site Hapjeong you can smell the beans they roast in-house. There are so many hand-drip beans that choosing was hard, but after smelling them it was easy to pick by my own taste!
What did I order?
Ordered: Ethiopia Gesha Village drip coffee, Guatemala Entre drip coffee, classic tiramisu

Since it's a hand-drip specialist, I went with drip coffee. The dessert was the classic tiramisu. Central Site Hapjeong brings your order right to your seat, which was convenient. When you finish, you can just leave everything at the table.
How does Central Site's classic tiramisu taste?
The classic tiramisu at Central Site Hapjeong isn't small. It's dusted with cocoa powder on top, and it looked delicious at first glance.

The tiramisu is thick, with the cream and sponge nicely mixed together.

The tiramisu at this Hapjeong Station café is definitely different from mass-made ones. It's soft, but the cream doesn't melt the moment you eat it; it has a bit of texture, so you can really savor the flavor!

I liked that the cream wasn't too runny. And it was less heavy too! I'm really curious what the secret is! It tasted worth the price, which I liked. It also went very well with the drip coffee.

The most acidic drip coffee: how was it really?

The hand-drip coffee at Central Site Hapjeong comes with one huge block of ice in it! I don't know why, but it felt extra special, and I liked that.

When you order hand-drip coffee, you also get a paper explaining the beans. After reading it and knowing about the beans, I could smell the aroma more and it tasted better, which I loved!

I picked the drip bean with the most acidity, but it didn't taste that acidic. It was just the right amount of brightness to enjoy. There's a subtle orange-blossom aroma that felt fresh and put me in a good mood.
Being hand-drip, it goes down smoothly. I think the great thing about hand-drip coffee is enjoying both the aroma and the taste together! I'll probably be here often whenever hand-drip coffee crosses my mind, so consider me a regular in the making! That was Central Site Hapjeong, a café near Hapjeong Station.
