Isu Station Western restaurant: signature set for five at Dooblock Isu

We've been busy with wedding invitation get-togethers lately,, and I found a Western restaurant right by Isu Station that's perfect for one!! Five of us women went, and everybody said it was delicious.. This is Dooblock Isu, a truly great Western spot near Isu Station. I highly recommend it for a get-together like this!

Dooblock Isu location and opening hours

Dooblock Isu is open every day from 10:30 to 21:30, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00 and last order at 20:30. It's less than a 5-minute walk from Isu Station Exit 5, so it was really easy to get to by public transport!

Also, just a heads-up in advance: tables at Dooblock have a 2-hour time limit,,

Dooblock Isu exterior

We turned the corner and there was the Dooblock sign! If you spot that small yellow square sign, you're almost there. The exterior looks clean and has a nice mood~~

It looks like Dooblock has a separate brunch menu too!? I'd love to come back on a day off or a weekend morning for brunch,,

Where do you sit if you reserve for 5 at Dooblock Isu?

We reserved for 5 and were guided to a table at the very back, in a kind of semi-private room. It had 6 chairs in total, so there was room for our bags and it was comfortable~!

The interior at Dooblock Isu is nicely put together with orange tones, wood and plants! We visited on a weekday just before 7 p.m. and it was already fairly busy! If you have an important get-together coming up, I recommend booking in advance through Naver Reservation~

There were flowers on the table and everything was so neat and pretty, so it totally won the hearts of us girls,,

Dooblock menu and how to order

There's no paper menu at Dooblock. You browse the photos and descriptions on a tablet and order right there. You pay at the counter after your meal!

There's a wide choice of pizza, steak, pasta and sides, plus lots of drinks like alcohol, ades and non-alcoholic options, so whoever you come with, you can enjoy tasty food in a great atmosphere~

What's in the Dooblock Signature Set and how much is it?

The Dooblock Signature Set we ordered was ₩194,300, and it came with the following.

• Jambon cabbage salad
• Margherita
• Honey cod
• Rollatini
• Basil scallop pasta (+₩1,900)
• Octopus ink risotto (+₩2,000)
• Sirloin steak (chuck flap tail)
• Lime mojito (non-alcoholic)
• Passion fruit ade
• 2 lemonades (+₩6,900)
• Green grape ade

There were five of us, so we ordered the Dooblock Signature Set, which the menu lists for 4–5 people! And this is honestly a really, really stuff-your-belly amount.. The drinks also come in huge portions, so if you don't usually drink much, sharing one between two would be fine~!

Jambon cabbage salad

The jambon cabbage salad came out first. We ordered it as an appetizer, but it was so good that we cleaned it up to the very end..

They give you a pair of scissors that cuts really well, and you snip it from top to bottom like in a GIF and eat it. Cabbage and jambon (Korean-style cured ham) go together this well..!?

Basil scallop pasta and octopus ink risotto

On the left is the octopus ink risotto and on the right is the basil scallop pasta! The basil scallop pasta had a strong basil cream flavor and was packed with scallops, which made it even better!

The octopus ink risotto was totally my style too.. The octopus was cooked so tender that it just melted~ This feels like such a perfect place for a girls' get-together,, ^ㅁ^

Rollatini

And this one was my first time trying rollatini! It comes with bread!? It felt a bit like eggs in hell (shakshuka), but without the spiciness, with eggplant and cheese rolled up nicely, and I enjoyed it so much.. Dipping bread in it is recommended too!

Margherita pizza

The Dooblock margherita pizza comes in 6 slices! So we could each have one slice and share nicely.. The edge of the dough is a bit like ciabatta, so it isn't tough at all, and it's far from a bad dough, so I was very happy with it! The cheese was amazing too..

Honey cod

And guess which new dish showed up..? The one covered in cheese right on the left is the honey cod. It's a traditional Spanish dish, with tomato sauce on soft cod meat, and it was so good..

Sirloin steak

Now the really last dish.. the sirloin steak (chuck flap tail). It came sliced into bite-size pieces, which was convenient, and it was tender with no tough spots, so we enjoyed the steak too! The potatoes and vegetables served with it were great too T_T Please admit this is a top Isu spot for a get-together..

Would I go back to Dooblock Isu for a get-together?

The dishes at Dooblock Isu just kept coming endlessly.. With so many kinds of food I wondered whether something might be lower in quality, but every single dish was delicious.. The girls ate happily too, so it was a very rewarding get-together! If I ever have a date in Isu, brunch, or another get-together.. I'm definitely willing to visit again!!!
