Weekend dinner booking at Euljiro3-ga restaurant Pyu: mackerel pasta

In short

Pyu Euljiro is a modern Korean fusion dining restaurant across from the Nine Tree Hotel in Euljiro3-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul. Two diners booked a weekend dinner through Naver and shared the fresh salad (16,000 won), charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco (34,000 won) and mackerel pasta (30,000 won), with a Neomsabyeok beer (8,000 won) and a glass of white wine (12,000 won). The mackerel in the pasta is nearly the size of a hand, so the portion is generous, and Pyu Euljiro works just as well for a wedding-invitation gathering as for a date.

Where is Pyu Euljiro in Euljiro3-ga?

Pyu Euljiro is a new pasta hotspot at 27 Mareunnae-ro, 1st floor, Unit 102, Jung-gu, Seoul, right across from the Nine Tree Hotel. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:00.

Exterior of Pyu Euljiro

Today I want to introduce a date-worthy restaurant in Euljiro, Pyu Euljiro. It's a new pasta spot across from the Nine Tree Hotel, and isn't the exterior already gorgeous? We booked ahead through Naver, and on weekend evenings it fills up completely, so I really recommend reserving before you go!

Pyu Euljiro's mood and group tables — fine for a wedding-invitation gathering

The interior of Pyu Euljiro is done in ivory and beige tones with high ceilings, and there's even group seating, making it great for wedding-invitation gatherings. On one side, they were hosting a rented-out event.

It has that clean, high-ceilinged, pretty pasta-restaurant feel you see on Instagram reels. The ivory and beige tones paired with soft lighting are so upscale you'd believe it was Apgujeong rather than Euljiro — perfect for a date!

Group seating suitable for gatherings

With a lush green view and group seating too, it seems perfect for gatherings or wedding-invitation meetups. On one side, they were running a rented-out event. While sitting there, a stray cat trotted right past the green-view window, and just watching it was so relaxing haha!

Dinner requires a drink order: Neomsabyeok beer, 8,000 won

During Pyu Euljiro's evening hours, ordering alcohol is required, so we got a beer (₩8,000) and a glass of white wine (₩12,000). Both came in pretty cups and glasses, which was a nice touch!

The standout, at ₩8,000

The beer had a full floral aroma, like a craft beer, richer than an ordinary beer and prettily packaged, so it paired well with the dishes we ordered! I don't usually love heavily aromatic beers, but in such a pretty space, I found myself wanting a pretty drink to match...

The three dishes two people ordered at Pyu Euljiro

At Pyu Euljiro, two of us ordered three dishes — fresh salad, charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco, and mackerel pasta — and it was just the right amount to leave us full. The 2-person set menu is ₩99,000.

We ordered three dishes between the two of us, and it was exactly enough to fill us up! The vibrant, fresh visuals really appeal to the female gaze *_* The 2-person set menu at ₩99,000 also comes with extras like fried eggplant and ice cream, so couples might enjoy going for the set.

The three dishes ordered for two people

Fresh salad, 16,000 won

First, the fresh salad topped with orange. It's a combination of fresh leafy greens and fruit, and even the dressing had an orange note, making it refreshing and a nice palate reset between other dishes.

Charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco, 34,000 won

Next, we ordered one of the signature dishes, charcoal-grilled octopus — isn't the presentation gorgeous! It comes with a spicy romesco sauce.

The octopus was so chewy yet tender, better quality than at other Western restaurants I've tried, and I especially loved the thinner parts. It went great with the spicy romesco sauce, and there were two big chunks of octopus, so the portion was bigger than expected — it felt like an octopus steak!

Mackerel pasta, 30,000 won — the mackerel is as big as a hand

And now the most signature dish, mackerel pasta! This is the one I really recommend ordering, because the portion is seriously generous haha. Can you see the size of that mackerel — it's no joke?

Mackerel pasta with a large piece of mackerel on top
Mackerel pasta, ₩30,000

Compared to a hand, that's the size! Lol. When a mackerel is this big — it's roughly four times the size of the salmon you'd usually get in a salmon steak pasta at similar Western restaurants. The mackerel is so big it covers the pasta entirely, so it feels less like mackerel pasta and more like mackerel steak...

Mackerel compared in size to a hand

The marinated mackerel was so tender and well-grilled — the flesh part was light and moist, while the edges were rich and fatty, making it fun to eat bite by bite. The pasta itself had a spicy oil-pasta feel, so it wasn't greasy and stayed clean and light — I loved that!

Verdict: is Pyu Euljiro worth it for a gathering or a Euljiro date?

Since I personally love fish, I really enjoyed this combination of pasta and mackerel! There wasn't a hint of fishiness, and the fish quality itself was excellent — it was especially satisfying dish for me :)

Overall, since it's a newly opened restaurant, it felt clean and pleasant, and with Korean-fusion menu items that aren't greasy and look great too, I'd recommend it for wedding-invitation meetups and dates in Euljiro. If you're looking for a pretty restaurant around Euljiro or Myeongdong, I recommend Pyu Euljiro!
