It's right in front of you as soon as you ride the escalator up, so it's easy to find, and the beans themselves are nutty and delicious, great for enjoying coffee's true flavor. The sweetness of the signature menu items has no haters either, so people of all ages seem to enjoy it — a truly named signature café of Suwon!! There's a reason the famous places are famous.

It's been so hot lately, ugh. With 36–37°C tropical nights, I end up looking for indoor dates where parking is easy and everything can be handled inside!! Easy parking, lots of things to see and do all in one place, frequent events, and blasting AC — I think that's exactly why big malls like Starfield are so popular!! (Definitely worth bringing the kids too.)

Is the Starfield Suwon branch easy to find inside the mall?

Yes, really easy! Ride the escalator up from the 1st floor of Starfield and it's right there in front of you as soon as you reach the 2nd floor. No need to wander around looking for it, so it was perfect for a quick break while shopping.

It's right at the front of the food court cluster, so it's very visible, and you can spot it from a distance just by the crowd.

How was the staff service at Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters?

The staff were friendly from the moment I ordered, which made the whole process pleasant. (There was also signage explaining you could switch to decaf or oat milk, so I could customize to my taste. The menu board was helpful too, haha.) My phone battery was dying, so I asked if I could charge it, and even though this is a department-store tenant, they happily let me charge it — so I was able to charge the whole time I was drinking coffee and never ran low on battery for the rest of my shopping.

Both come iced only, and the Signature Coconut in particular is apparently a hit — the store banner even says '1.11 million cups sold.'

They have dark roast, decaf, and even single origin, so you can choose based on your taste, and there's a separate corner set up for smelling the beans.

How did the coffee taste? Signature Coconut vs Summer Latte

I already like Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters as a brand and often go to the Haenggung-dong branch too. Normally I just get the iced americano since it's so good!! But on a hot day like today, my sugar levels drop so much, ugh, so I ordered something sweet instead. The beans themselves are tasty, so the coffee came out nutty. It wasn't too strong or too weak — just the right balance.

This place has a special touch — the Summer Latte comes topped with ice cream and a spoon-straw. So at first you enjoy the ice cream's sweetness on its own, then sip the latte's nuttiness separately, almost like an affogato, and at the very end when you mix the ice cream and latte together,

it's basically paradise.

The Signature Coconut is a bit sweeter, with coconut flavor rising up lightly and deliciously from start to finish — unique and tasty. The Summer Latte feels like a regular latte flavor and ice cream kept separate at first, the way you'd expect, then turns cool and sweet once mixed. Obviously the ice cream itself makes the Summer Latte sweeter, but in terms of overall balance, to my taste the Signature Coconut came across stronger in coconut aroma and sweetness. If you like the familiar affogato feel, go for the Summer Latte (it's lighter than an actual affogato, of course); if you prefer a cool coconut base with a coffee twist, I'd recommend the Signature Coconut.

What desserts and cakes are on the counter?

The dessert case had a wide variety of cakes. Blueberry cake, melon cake, Basque cheesecake, and even fruit chardonnay cake — so many options it was fun just choosing.

I've been holding back on cake because of my blood sugar, but my friend caught me staring and got a photo of me anyway. Ugh, honestly kind of sad.

What are the seats inside like?

Toward the back there's a narrow, long seating area, with a bean-info poster on the wall, and it felt like a good spot for one or two people to work or chat.

The tables set slightly outward from the inner passage can seat 3–4 people together, and there's also bar seating wrapped around a central pillar. The tables aren't spaced very far apart, but it's still separated from the outside space and plenty comfortable for taking a break.

What is the interior style of the café?

They've made good use of space throughout to bring out Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters' signature black-and-wood mood along with cute goods and a vintage feel! Still, make sure to visit the Haenggung main branch too for its interior, haha.
