Bangi food alley 2nd-round bar for beer and dried pollock: Wareureu
In short
Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch (와르르맨숀 방이점) is a Crayon Shin-chan-themed Korean dining pub in Bangi food alley (Bangi Meokja Golmok) in Songpa, Seoul. After a first round elsewhere, the writer stopped at Wareureu Mansion for a 300cc draft beer with meoktae (dried pollock) and a melon-pineapple fruit plate, and Shin-chan cartoons on a big screen plus retro lighting set a good mood. Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch suits a light beer in Bangi-dong when you're already full.

I was looking for somewhere to have a light beer for a second round in the Bangi food alley (방이먹자골목) and ended up at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch (와르르맨숀 방이점), and the Shin-chan-themed interior was so cute! Shin-chan characters are all over the place, and a huge screen plays the anime, so there was lots to look at. 💛
What is Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch like?
Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a Korean dining pub in the Bangi food alley.

A big menu board stands at the entrance, so you can see which anju (drink snacks) they have before going in.

They have everything from Hanwoo (Korean beef) dishes to hotpot, fried food, pizza, pasta and fruit anju, so it works for a first-round meal as well as a second-round drink. We had already eaten plenty in the first round, so we ordered light snacks.
Interior and seating
The inside has a retro feel, with dark wood tones and orange lighting, and there are both regular tables and sofa seats. The first thing that caught my eye as soon as we walked in was the unique interior.

The dark wood with warm orange lighting made it feel cozy and retro at the same time.

There are plenty of tables, with regular table seats alongside soft sofa seats.

The mood suits a group of friends, and it's also fine for a casual drink on a date.
What is the Shin-chan decor like?
A big wall screen keeps playing the Crayon Shin-chan anime (짱구는 못말려), and Shin-chan and Shiro (흰둥이) dolls sit between the tables. The Shin-chan decor was honestly my favorite part of Wareureu Mansion!

There's a huge screen on one wall, and the Shin-chan anime just keeps playing. If you like Shin-chan, you'll love this space. 💛
Shin-chan dolls and all sorts of character props sit between the tables. It's fun to look at the Shiro and Shin-chan dolls, and everything is so cute that it's great for photos too. Drinking beer while facing the giant screen was especially unusual. It's a charming, playful mood unlike an ordinary pub, so it really stuck with me.
The 300cc draft beer for a second round
Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch lets you order draft beer in a small 300cc size, which was easy on us when we were full after the first round. Since this was our second round, we ordered a cold draft beer.

We ordered the 300cc draft beer. It came in a cute mug, and the soft foam on top looked so tempting. The glass was chilled too, so the beer tasted even better.
When you've already eaten a lot in the first round, it's nice that you can order such a small size. Having a cold beer while watching the Shin-chan anime made the mood even better. 🍻
How was the beer snack meoktae (dried pollock)?
The meoktae at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is thinly shredded dried pollock, grilled crisp and served generously on a large plate with a sauce. Meoktae is a must with beer, so we ordered it.

The meoktae came piled on a big plate. The thinly shredded pollock was grilled crisp, and it looked appetizing from the start.

Dipped in the sauce that came with it, it was salty and nutty. The crispy, chewy texture that meoktae is known for went really well with the beer. Even on a full stomach, it's easy to keep picking at it one piece at a time, so it was perfect as a second-round snack. If you like meoktae, I'd recommend ordering it with a beer!
Fruit anju: melon pineapple
The melon pineapple at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a fruit anju of melon and pineapple cut into bite-size pieces and served on a large plate. The fruit anju we ordered with the meoktae was the melon pineapple.

The melon and pineapple came on a big plate, cut into easy-to-eat sizes. The melon was neatly arranged on its rind, and the pineapple was cut in generous chunks, so it looked appetizing.
Eating sweet, fresh fruit after the salty meoktae was a great combination. Fruit anju is also good for refreshing your mouth while you drink. Ordering a salty snack like meoktae with sweet fruit meant we could alternate between them, which was fun.
How do you order?
Each table at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch has a tablet for ordering.

It was convenient to check the menu and order from your seat without calling a staff member. The tablet screen also has a staff-call function, so it's easy to ask for anything you need.
Overall verdict on Wareureu Mansion in Bangi-dong
Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, where we went for a second round in Bangi-dong, is a pub whose cute Shin-chan interior left the biggest impression. With the warm lighting, retro mood and giant Shin-chan screen, it has a charm unlike an ordinary pub. The meoktae and melon pineapple we ordered also made a good pairing for a light beer.
If you like Shin-chan, you'll probably enjoy it even more. If you're looking for a second-round pub with a good mood in the Bangi food alley, or just want a light draft beer with friends, I recommend Wareureu Mansion! 🍻💛
