Cheonan brunch café for cream pasta and tteokbokki: Bumvecker Dujeong

Today I took the kids out for a daytime brunch :) For lunch, my older son wanted pasta and my younger son wanted tteokbokki?! Can you two not agree on one menu for once…?! Seriously!! haha

Once again we failed to agree on one menu, but I remembered Bumvecker, the café where I once had two different brunch dishes in one sitting!

Bumvecker Cheonan Dujeong is a large café with a spacious store and a varied menu, great for enjoying brunch. It's also a bakery café known for the only authentic German-style pretzels in Korea. Today my two little troublemakers and I enjoyed brunch there together :)

There's a parking lot right in front of the store when you arrive, so parking is easy.

Since it's a large café that also allows pets, the terrace space is decorated beautifully too.

Once you step inside, the space is really spacious!! From the entrance, all kinds of pretzels are displayed, handmade fresh every dawn apparently, and the variety was amazing!! The ceilings are high inside and the seats have generous spacing, so it seemed like a good spot to visit with a group :)

The seating types are quite varied too — group tables, sofa seats, floor tables — so we comfortably chose a floor table. Baby chairs were ready too, which made it feel like a good place to visit with kids :)

Since we came for brunch, I showed the kids the menu to order! haha Each of them picked one dish they wanted! I chose the Bumvecker Brunch with Americano, my older son chose cream pasta, and my younger son chose Bumvecker low-sugar tteokbokki. All three of our menus solved in one go!! haha

After ordering and getting settled, we checked out the pretzel display while waiting for the food to arrive.

There were so many kinds and they all looked so delicious that I wanted to try one of each...

Dogs, the care kids zone and the after-8pm bread discount

Looking around the store, there were notices about being pet-friendly and about the care kids zone. As a space that considers the needs of children, there was a notice asking visitors for their understanding.

Also, after 8pm there's a 30% discount on bread! If you buy 5 or more, they can pack them into a Bumvecker house box, and there's also a WELCOME set for two!

The self-serve bar has water, wet wipes, and even to-go bags ready, so you can help yourself to whatever you need. As I looked around a bit more, our order finally arrived!

For my Bumvecker Brunch, I chose the plain salt pretzel as the bread option.

It came with scrambled eggs, sausage, salad, and even fries, and I chose sesame dressing for the salad.

The cream pasta my older son ordered had button mushrooms and bacon in it, and the cream sauce was rich and thick, totally his style! haha

Bumvecker low-sugar tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes)

The Bumvecker low-sugar tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) my younger son picked had chewy wheat rice cakes with a sweet and moderately spicy flavor!

It was tasty enough that you barely noticed it was low-sugar. With a smiley-face decoration and fried onions and sausage on top, it was fun to look at too.

My younger son ate it so happily, it disappeared in a flash!! haha

Is Bumvecker Dujeong a good brunch café with kids?

In the end, the kids didn't just eat their own dishes — they devoured my brunch too… On a day when each of us wanted something different, it was so convenient to solve it all in one place!
