Today I'm writing about Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch.
Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch
A friend of mine came down to Daejeon from Seoul, and while we were trying to decide which café to go to, we ended up at Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch, famous for its coffee in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon.

Where is Frank Coffee Bar Dunsan and what is the vibe?
Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch is located near E-mart in Dunsan-dong. Its distinctive interior stood out even from far away.

You can feel the mood right from the entrance! Business hours were posted, along with all sorts of coffee info 👀

Unfortunately pets aren't allowed inside, just so you know!

You can really feel Frank Coffee Bar's signature wood-tone interior. It's full of dark wooden furniture, and just that alone made for such a great atmosphere 🪴
The way they decorated with plants and little objects felt antique and matched the interior so well — I wondered how you even develop that kind of taste. So pretty! 🥺
The condi bar looked really pretty too. Even the furniture was full of that same vibe 👏

Salt bread to wakku: the Frank Coffee Bar bakery display
At Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch, the bread is displayed right by the door, and you use a tray and tongs to pick your own. There's also a Balmuda oven for breads that can be warmed, which made enjoying the bread even better.

The breads are lined up along the wall, and the variety of salt bread was really impressive. You can enjoy them as a meal substitute or as dessert, so if you love salt bread, I definitely recommend visiting Frank Coffee Bar 👍

There were also financiers, madeleines, canelés, and egg tarts, which seemed perfect for dessert too.

There was also a wakku salt bread made with seasonal fruit! Peaches are in season right now, so it was the peach wakku. We came right after lunch and ordered a simple dessert, but next time I have to try the peach wakku 🤤

You can reserve the bread in advance through Naver Place, so if you're eyeing something that seems likely to sell out, I'd recommend booking it ahead of time ✔️

Frank Coffee Bar ordering counter, espresso menu and events
You order at the counter across from the bread display at Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch — there are signature drinks and a good variety of non-coffee options too, so ordering felt easy.

There was a simple introduction to the coffee beans too, and true to being an espresso bar, there were lots of espresso options. Wifi and parking info were also posted.

And if you join the Naver receipt review event, you get to try a draw — and I liked that there were no losing tickets. There are also standalone desserts like croffles and tiramisu that go well with coffee 〰️

Once you finish ordering, they hand you a buzzer.

How were the americano, latte and lemon madeleine?
At Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch we ordered an americano, a latte, a café bacio, and a lemon madeleine 🥹 It all came out quickly.

Everything looked delicious, and it was nice that it all came out in pretty tableware!
The lemon madeleine had a thin lemon sugar coating that paired perfectly with the fluffy madeleine.

The size was just right, so it was great as dessert after a meal. Soft and refreshingly sweet, the flavors worked really well together 😃

The americano was nutty and rich, which also paired well with the desserts.
I ordered the latte light, and it came out not too weak, just with that clean coffee flavor, which I liked.

Free espresso bacio with Naver notifications
Since we were at an espresso bar, I figured I should order an espresso too — and it turns out that if you set up Naver notifications for Frank Coffee Bar Daejeon Dunsan Branch, you get a free espresso bacio! 🫢
The espresso bacio is an espresso mixed with cacao, and the nutty, rich beans combined with the cacao made for a sweet-bitter, deep flavor that worked so well together! I really recommend setting up Naver notifications 😻
That's Frank Coffee Bar, a coffee spot everyone loves in Dunsan-dong. Beyond the espresso bar, you can enjoy all kinds of baked goods and desserts, so I highly recommend it. Next time I definitely have to try the wakku salt bread 😍
