Individually wrapped Cheonandang walnut pastries: how do they taste?
When you open a box from Cheonandang Dandae Branch, the walnut pastries sit neatly, each one individually wrapped. The plain ones aren't small, just a good size, and the Korean-wheat batter is soft, with a red bean and walnut combination that's addictive.
When you open the box! Every one is neatly individually wrapped! The wrapped walnut pastries sit tidily in the box! I love how clean the individual wrapping is, and it's so convenient to take them out one at a time!

And when you unwrap one? Ta-da!! It's not small, just the right size, which I love!

The red bean filling is tasty, the walnut adds a great texture, and maybe because of the Korean wheat, the pastry is soft and delicious! The combination of pastry, walnut and red bean is so good and addictive! I kept reaching for another one! It goes perfectly with milk or coffee too!

How do you store leftover walnut pastries?
According to the note on the Cheonandang box, the pastries taste best on the day you buy them, and leftovers can be kept in the freezer and thawed for 20–30 minutes before eating. The note also says they're even better with milk or coffee.
They're delicious if you eat them on the day you buy them! Store leftovers in the freezer, then thaw for 20–30 minutes before eating, and have them with milk or coffee for an even better taste!
Of course walnut pastries bought that day taste best eaten that day, but if you have any left over, be sure to keep them in the freezer!
