Chungbuk Univ café rainy-day lunch: chicken tender poke, Eopcheonri382

Today's spot is Eopcheonri382 Chungbuk National University Branch (읍천리382 충북대점)! I always thought of Eopcheonri 382 as the place famous for misugaru (roasted grain drink) and sandwiches?? But when I actually visited, it turned out to have a much wider range of food!! Let's get straight to the review.

A rainy weekend, a light lunch before a meat dinner

We went to Eopcheonri382 Chungbuk National University Branch for lunch on a weekend when the rain was coming down steadily. I'd been agonizing over what to eat, because we had already planned to have meat for dinner. So we decided to keep lunch simple and light!! and headed here.

The shop is near Chungbuk National University, and there is parking space right in front of it!! The area is full of studio apartments, so driving here is fine.

What's the atmosphere like?

The moment I walked in, I blurted out, "Wait, what!! Why is the vibe so good!!"

It felt like visiting a friend's fancy house, you know?

I always go to a café after a meal, and Eopcheonri lets you do both meal and café in one place, which my boyfriend loved.

The props dotted around are cute too, in a village-head's-house style.

The village head's hat, haha. While I was looking around the café, I kept hearing delivery orders come in!! And delivery drivers kept coming and going.... You can enjoy the food in the hall, but lots of people seem to order delivery. Anyway!

The self-serve bar is just around the corner next to the counter! I grabbed utensils and water there.

They brought out all the food at once. So nice, and doesn't it look pretty?

Today's Poke Set: buckwheat noodle bulgogi poke and a drink

First up is the "Today's Poke Set" my boyfriend ordered! The drink is an iced americano, and he chose bulgogi poke with buckwheat noodles and the low-sugar oriental dressing.

How is the dolce choco cheese foam latte?

Actually, that americano is mine, and this is my boyfriend's drink, pfft. It's a dolce choco cheese foam latte, and it totally hit his taste. The cheese foam was thick, rich and really good.

Is the chicken tortilla wrap filling?

I knew my boyfriend would get hungry soon if he only had the poke, so we also ordered a chicken wrap!!

Look at how plump the wrap is!! It's packed with lettuce, and the chicken was crispy and really good. I think this alone would fill me up.

My boyfriend tried it and said it was delicious. It's a bit like McDonald's Shanghai chicken wrap style. Easy to eat as a quick bite!! But it's more filling than that, really hearty.

What's bulgogi poke like with buckwheat noodles?

He chose buckwheat noodles for the bulgogi poke, which were easy to pick up with chopsticks. The bulgogi topping is already seasoned, so taste as you go and adjust the sauce!! He mixed it all up and it was really good. A healthy but hearty meal, success!!

Chicken tender poke salad: chicken that stays crispy even cold

And this is the chicken tender poke salad I ordered. I chose brown rice and also the low-sugar oriental sauce! This sauce is the best one for poke, hehe.

There's a baked egg inside! What, what!! So good!!

And I added the sauce too. Look at how many kinds of vegetables are in there.

I mixed it all up the same way, and the chicken was so crispy and tasty!! It stayed crispy even after cooling and even with the sauce poured on. Everything worked together so well, and I instantly wanted to eat it again!! Eopcheonri...... you're really good at poke too....... noted.

Would I go back to Eopcheonri382 Chungbuk National University Branch on a rainy day?

I was so happy to have a healthy, filling meal with my boyfriend! The rain made the mood even better, and I'd want to go again on a dry day too. Next time we have a picnic, I think grabbing everything to go from Eopcheonri382 Chungbuk National University Branch would be great.
