Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch (대신땅콩빵 부산서면점) is a peanut-only dessert shop in Seomyeon selling Daeshin Peanut Bread, a famous treat from Daegu's Seomun Market. I was walking around Seomyeon when a yellow sign caught my eye and I stopped. I'd heard that the Daegu favorite had opened in Seomyeon too and was curious, so I finally went in person.

If you love peanuts, it's hard to walk past this place. It sells only peanut-themed items, just like the name says, which made it extra special.

What does the peanut bread taste like?

The signature item I tried was, of course, the peanut bread! Whole peanuts go right into the batter, and the chewy texture was really appealing.

One bite and a nutty aroma spread out. The whole peanuts are generous, so the richer the flavor got the more I chewed. It's crisp outside, moist and warm inside, and once I started I kept reaching for another.

They say peanut bread is best fresh from the oven. They told me leftovers can be frozen and eaten as icy peanut bread, or warmed briefly in a microwave or air fryer.

How much is the peanut bread?

Peanut bread is ₩3,000 for 20, ₩6,000 for 45 and ₩10,000 for 80. The prices are really kind. It's a lot of bread, so I thought it would be good to share with family or as a small gift.

Box packaging is available too, so it looked fine for office snacks or travel gifts.

What made me happiest is that Daeshin Peanut Bread, famous at Daegu's Seomun Market, can now be eaten in Busan too. You can have it right in Seomyeon without traveling all the way to Daegu, which feels like good news for Busan folks.

The shop is tidy, and the cute yellow-accented character makes it a nice photo spot. The owner kept baking fresh batches, so I got my bread piping hot.

Verdict: why I recommend Daeshin as a Seomyeon dessert

In July there's an event: they give you either peanut butter or a peanut latte! Seomyeon has plenty of desserts these days, but a place that takes a single ingredient and makes it retro yet hip like Daeshin is not common. If you're looking for dessert near Seomyeon Station, I'd recommend it for something different.

If you like Seomyeon bakery desserts or nutty flavors, you'll probably be very satisfied. It's also a great Seomyeon street snack, and thanks to the whole peanuts, a bag disappeared in no time. If you want a special snack in Seomyeon, give it a try. Being able to enjoy Daegu Seomun Market's popular peanut bread in Busan just as it is made this a satisfying visit.
