In short
Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch is an aged pork belly and pork neck restaurant on the 2nd floor on Gunam-ro near Haeundae Station in Busan, where staff grill the meat for you. At dinner the blogger ordered the A set (370g pork neck, 130g premium pork belly and grilled vegetables) with a pudding-style steamed egg and was very satisfied with the meat, which alternates 7-day dry aging with vacuum chilled aging, and with the basil wrap and chimichurri sauce pairing. Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch is worth shortlisting for Haeundae travelers and groups who want to enjoy aged pork without working the grill themselves.

A Korean BBQ restaurant on Gunam-ro near Haeundae Station that grills for you
Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch (광안목 해운대점) is an aged-meat BBQ restaurant on Gunam-ro in Haeundae. I was looking for dinner near Haeundae beach, walked toward Gunam-ro, and found it.

This street is packed with people these days, and restaurants line it wall to wall. I wanted a place where the staff grill the meat, and settled on Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch, a name that keeps coming up for Haeundae pork belly.
Does Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch have a lunch offer?
I was told that at lunch only, the restaurant gives free stone-pot bibimbap (rice with vegetables) and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew).

It doesn't apply at dinner, but if value matters to you, a lunch visit is worth considering.
Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch location and parking
Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch is at 16 Gunam-ro, 2nd floor, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It's under a 5-minute walk from Haeundae Station, so getting there by subway or bus isn't bad. It's an easy stroll from Haeundae beach too, so it fit nicely between sightseeing stops. But Gunam-ro is a very busy area, so if you're driving, check the parking situation nearby first.
Is Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch good for group dinners?
Head up to the 2nd floor and the space is bigger than you'd expect.

There's decent spacing between tables, so chatting with my group was easy, and the place felt neatly kept overall. The layout works fine for large groups or company dinners, so it should suit anyone looking for a BBQ spot near Haeundae Station for a get-together.
How is Gwang-anmok's pork aged differently?
The biggest feature of Gwang-anmok is how it ages its meat.

Unlike ordinary vacuum chilled aging, they say they alternate it with dry aging, where meat is exposed to air for 7 days so moisture evaporates. The meat loses weight in the process but the flavor concentrates, so the deep taste typical of aged meat is clearly the intention. After hearing the explanation, I understood why Gwang-anmok sells itself on aging among Haeundae pork belly places.
Gwang-anmok A set: 370g pork neck, 130g premium pork belly and grilled vegetables
At Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch, we ordered the A set with a pudding-style steamed egg (gyeran-jjim) on the side.

The A set has 370g of pork neck (anmoksal), 130g of premium pork belly and grilled vegetables, so you get to try both cuts in one go.

Do the staff grill the meat at Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch?
A staff member pre-sears the meat at the table, brings it over, and even keeps track of the grilling timing, which is great for anyone not confident at the grill.

Gwang-anmok side dishes and self-serve bar
The basic side dishes at Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch are mostly anchovy salt, kimchi varieties and pickles, neatly served and a good match for the meat. If you run out, you can refill at the self-serve bar.
How did the aged pork neck and premium pork belly taste?
The pork neck in Gwang-anmok's A set was tender with a soft grain, and the premium pork belly felt light on the fat, maybe thanks to the aging.

I'd never had the basil wrap + chimichurri sauce combo... why is it so good...? I seriously almost asked if I could buy the anchovy salt, with my own money...

One bite of the meat and I immediately understood why Gwang-anmok is a famous BBQ place in Haeundae.
I've been blogging for over 10 years and have visited lots of great BBQ places, but this place was seriously delicious.
What is Gwang-anmok's pudding-style steamed egg?
Gwang-anmok's pudding-style steamed egg was, as the name says, a soft-textured side. When I put a spoon in, it wobbled like pudding, and it was seasoned without being salty, so it was easy to alternate with the meat. A soft bite between the rich pieces of meat felt like a palate reset, so it was a decent side choice.
Who is Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch best for?
To sum up, my impression is that Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch isn't about a flashy knockout but steadily pushes the aging concept. The staff grilling means less work for you, and the setup suits groups and families, so it's a fair candidate for anyone searching for Haeundae pork belly. If you're curious about the flavor typical of aged meat, try it once and see whether it suits your taste.
