Why I chose a dashboard suction mount over an air-vent mount

A car phone mount is an absolute essential these days, right? Most phones are MagSafe-compatible now, and even if they are not, MagSafe products are so convenient that people attach a ring and use them that way! This 비티냐 product can be used as a car mount and attached by suction wherever you like, so I gave it a try as a product that can do practically five jobs at once. It is so versatile that I think everyone should keep one in their bag. You can even attach it a little higher to take photos—then you can get those trendy MZ-style shots too, haha.

I used to use an air-vent-style car mount, but it kept coming out of the vent and falling whenever there was a sharp curve, sudden stop, or quick turn. I looked into it and heard that a dashboard suction mount would be better, so I use a dashboard-style one now—and it moves around much less, which is so convenient!

What comes with the 비티냐 MagSafe mount and how to install it

The product I am using is the 비티냐 360° Rotating MagSafe Phone Mount, and it comes in two colors: black and white! I chose black because it suits my car nicely!

These are the components: a suction pad to attach to the dashboard, the mount, an alcohol wipe for cleaning the suction-pad area, and a MagSafe ring for phones that are not MagSafe-compatible.

If you are attaching it to the dashboard, put on the suction pad first, then attach the mount. Second, if your phone is not MagSafe-compatible, attach the metal ring!

How were the 360° rotation and suction hold?

An air-vent mount is fixed in one direction, but this suction mount fixes its base to the surface, so it spins smoothly through 360° and tilts 180°. It is wonderfully flexible!

It is best used on a surface that is as flat and smooth as possible. It works even better if you attach the circular pad to the dashboard and suction it onto that!

This is what the main unit looks like: the suction plate and dial on the bottom, and the MagSafe attachment point on top.

You can set it upright, lay it down, turn it sideways—whatever position you want is possible.

There is a suction dial underneath, and when you attach it and turn the dial, it feels like it clicks firmly into place! That means it is staying suctioned on. The suction is strong, so I tried it in pretty much every possible spot, and it really sticks well. It is especially good on mirrors! Just attach it wherever you want, then turn the dial to secure it with suction!

Using it on the passenger-side window and at home

For use in the car, you can attach it to the dashboard like this or suction it onto the mirror area. Put it wherever feels comfortable! It holds firmly and moves well up, down, left, and right, so you can quickly set your phone vertically or horizontally however you want~

I tried it on the passenger side, and wow, it is so easy and nice. Since it sticks straight onto the window, it is right in your line of sight, so the navigation is super easy to see!!! Such a useful find!!! I went on another long drive this week, and using 비티냐 in different spots was so comfortable that I am really satisfied!!!

The passenger can watch a little YouTube while we go, hehe. They can read an e-book too, and they no longer have to lower their face to look at their phone until their neck hurts! Looking at this, it is definitely not a product only for the car: you can put on cooking YouTube videos while cooking at home, or attach it to a full-length mirror while exercising. It is seriously so versatile!!

A lot of people do not use the built-in navigation these days, and this would be great to attach right here for that!! I will definitely bring the 비티냐 MagSafe mount along when filming short-form videos or vlogs too!!!
