Seokchon Lake pizzeria, bacon-cheese ball & kimchi: Pizza Never Sleeps

I wanted really good pizza on Songridan-gil, so I headed to Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch! It serves American-style pizza, and you can pick two flavors with half-and-half, so there's no agonizing over the menu haha. I ordered the potato and double pepperoni pizza, plus the Never Sleeps Ball!

Where is Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch?

Pizza Never Sleeps Songridan-gil Branch is in the basement of a building in an alley on Songridan-gil. You just walk down the stairs from the entrance, and the mood already feels different from an ordinary pizza place.

It felt like a hip pizza spot hidden away in a Songridan-gil alley haha

Atmosphere: chandeliers and vintage interior

The first things you notice inside are the fancy chandelier and the vintage interior! Dim lighting plus floral-pattern wallpaper make the atmosphere really unique. If you're looking for a place with atmosphere near Seokchon Lake, it's worth a visit haha

And even though I arrived straight after work, there were already so many customers at this Seokchon Lake spot!

Pizza Never Sleeps menu and ordering half-and-half

The pizza menu had a wide range, including potato and double pepperoni. You can choose regular or large, and half-and-half lets you enjoy two flavors. I ordered a regular potato + double pepperoni half-and-half and the Never Sleeps Ball!

What comes with the pizza by default?

When you order pizza at Pizza Never Sleeps, it comes with garlic dip, cheese dip, kimchi and jalapeños.

But this kimchi is insanely good,, my friend said the kimchi is the kick, and she's so right,,

What does the Never Sleeps Ball taste like?

The Never Sleeps Ball is a side dish packed with cheese and bacon, and it came out before the pizza! I ordered it as a light snack while waiting, and I was surprised at how good it was haha. I was craving something rich today, and if you like rich, cheesy food, you'll totally love it!

When I split it open, it was absolutely packed with cheese and bacon!

Smoothly melted cheese with salty bacon is a really great combination haha. It's a side dish, but it has serious presence, and I'd want to order it again next time haha

Potato + double pepperoni half-and-half

Finally the main dish, the potato and double pepperoni half-and-half pizza, arrived!

One half was the potato pizza heaped with french fries, and the other was the double pepperoni pizza loaded with pepperoni. Getting both flavors at once made me glad I ordered half-and-half haha

Potato pizza: fries first

First up, the potato pizza!

My friend told me that with potato pizza you have to eat the fries first lol

The fries are piled high on the pizza, so even a single slice felt generously topped. If you like french fries, this will probably suit your taste.

Double pepperoni pizza: salty with a little spice

Now the double pepperoni! As the name says, the pepperoni is layered on, so the salty flavor really hits you.

It has a slight spiciness too, so alternating with the sweeter potato pizza worked even better haha

How is the dough at Pizza Never Sleeps?

The toppings were good, but I liked the dough too. It's baked golden brown all the way to the edge, so it felt a shame to leave the crust behind lol

Verdict: recommended for pizza after a Seokchon Lake date

Pizza Never Sleeps, my Seokchon Lake pick! The vintage interior has a great mood, and being able to enjoy two pizzas with half-and-half left me satisfied haha. I especially recommend the Never Sleeps Ball, full of cheese and bacon, as a side! If you're looking for good pizza on Songridan-gil, or a place to eat after a date at Seokchon Lake, it's worth a visit :)
