Ikki Roll Katsu Garosu-gil Main Branch (이끼롤까스 가로수길본점) is at 64 Gangnam-daero 152-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, basement level 1, a 5-minute walk from Sinsa Station Exit 8 on the Garosu-gil side. It is open every day from 11:30 to 21:20.

It's in the basement!! A Sinsa Station restaurant with paid parking, ₩3,000 for the first 60 minutes!

This is the entrance of Ikki Roll Katsu. I visited on a weekday at lunchtime.

It's on basement level 1, so don't get confused!! Let's head down together. The restroom is inside.

You just go down to the basement. The interior was super clean!

There are lots more seats further in. Ikki Roll Katsu is famous as a Garosu-gil lunch spot! I went a little before lunch, in the morning!

The seats by the entrance look comfortable for eating alone, and bigger groups can sit comfortably further inside. There are pretty paintings on the walls, so you can tell they put care into the interior.

At Ikki Roll Katsu Garosu-gil Main Branch, the sweet potato cheese katsu is the signature dish, and there's a whole range of roll katsu too! It's not called Ikki Roll Katsu for nothing, right? haha I liked that there were so many unusual katsu dishes you can't find elsewhere. The specialty is old-style Western-diner (gyeongyangsik) dishes served with various rolls and sauces on top! The set menus you can pair with ade (a fruit soda) are well put together too.

How does the ₩12,500 basic tonkatsu taste?

What I ate this time was Ikki Roll Katsu's basic tonkatsu for ₩12,500.

Let me show you the side dishes first! The self bar has soup (janguk), pickled radish and kimchi. I loved that everything, even the rice, can be refilled without limit at the self bar 👍👍👍

You have to try the most basic one first! haha This is the basic tonkatsu. A feature of Ikki Roll Katsu Garosu-gil Main Branch is that many of its katsu come with sauce on top.

Because it's fresh, top-grade loin, the meat wasn't greasy and tasted clean! And I really liked the sauce packed with vegetables!

Vegetable-packed tonkatsu sauce and black rice

Unlike other tonkatsu places, the sauce here is full of vegetables, and I really liked that. You don't usually get many vegetables when you eat tonkatsu, but the sauce at Ikki Roll Katsu Garosu-gil Main Branch has all kinds of vegetables in it, which looked really good nutritionally, you know? lol I like details like this haha

I liked that the rice is black rice too haha!! It made me want to come back and try the roll katsu next time haha
