What is Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch?

Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch is an eel restaurant in Cheongna, Incheon. Besides eel, you can eat beef and pork, and the salad bar is unlimited too. With so much variety, it seemed perfect for family meals and also for big group dinners.

Location and hours: is it good for a group dinner?

Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch is about a 2-minute walk from Cine Q and is open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The place is spacious too, so it looked fine for a group dinner~!

There's also a playroom inside for kids, so it works well if you stop by the Cheongna Sky Bridge observatory and then come to eat with children. The kids can play in the playroom, which makes it a good spot for families!

What's in the Jangsodam A Set all-you-can-eat?

We ordered the Jangsodam A Set! It's an all-you-can-eat buffet with freshwater eel, 6 kinds of beef, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), pork and the self-bar. With the self-bar alongside the eel and meat, both adults and kids can pick what they like.

You order with a table order tablet. Also, as an event, groups of 10 or more who book get one bottle of bokbunja (Korean black raspberry wine) per table!

Extra orders go through the tablet too, so there's no calling staff or waiting. It was really convenient!

What's on the Jangsodam salad bar?

At the Jangsodam salad bar you can pick up pork, grilled chicken, pork skin and more yourself.

There's jeyuk-bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork), pasta and even jumeokbap (rice balls), so kids would love it too, haha

There's even ice cream for dessert 😮 Vegetables and a variety of sauces are ready too.

Jangsodam eel and beef all-you-can-eat: how are the taste and quality?

We ordered by table tablet at Jangsodam, and a serving robot brought the food, lol

First came one eel, beef and yukhoe. We started with the eel and bubchaesal (top blade beef), haha.

Favorite cuts of the three friends: top blade, galbi-sal and sirloin

Of all the cuts, top blade satisfied me the most.

My friend 1 said galbi-sal (rib meat) was the tastiest, lol

Friend 2 liked the sirloin. It was nice that people with different tastes could try lots of kinds of beef.

First refill: one eel plus galbi-sal and top blade

After finishing the first plate of beef and the eel, we ordered one more eel plus galbi-sal and top blade.

It was my first all-you-can-eat eel, so I worried the quality might be a bit lower. But the Jangsodam freshwater eel was really good! Compared with famous eel restaurants I've been to, I honestly felt no big difference.

Is the crab at Jangsodam unlimited?

Jangsodam also has yangnyeom gejang (spicy marinated crab) and ganjang gejang (soy-sauce marinated crab)! The crab isn't unlimited, though. You can order it only once. Friend 2 was dipping beef into the spicy crab 🤣

Second refill: one eel plus galbi-sal and sirloin

Here's the second refill: one eel, galbi-sal and sirloin.

The freshwater eel from the second refill was just as good as the first time, which made me happy!

With the salad bar dishes and crab alongside, I never got sick of the eel all the way to the end, haha. Enjoying so many side dishes and menu items together, I could eat happily until the last bite.

Finishing with self-bar ramyeon and ice cream

Even stuffed, I couldn't resist the ramyeon (instant noodles),, the Jangsodam self-bar has plenty of kinds, from Buldak Bokkeummyeon to Jjapaghetti.

And really, truly last, I had ice cream too. Phew...

If you've come to see the Cheongna Sky Bridge observatory in Incheon and want a good place nearby, I recommend Jangsodam, with all-you-can-eat freshwater eel, beef, pork and a salad bar. It's a great place for a hearty family meal or a group dinner.
