Where is Bokkeriu and what is the atmosphere like?

Bokkeriu sits right in front of the Han River, so you get a lovely view with your meal. Afterward, you can head straight onto the riverside walking path for a stroll. The green scenery outside the window left an impression, and I spent a relaxed time without feeling cramped.

Inside, the tables are spaced generously, so eating was comfortable. The chairs were soft and stable, so staying a long time was no problem. Overall the mood is calm and upscale, which suits a family meal as well as anyone looking for a date spot in Hanam.

What is on the menu at Bokkeriu?

Bokkeriu serves a range of Western dishes centered on pasta and steak. There are cream, tomato and oil pastas, plus risotto, salads and steaks, so you can choose to your taste.

There are also several couple and family sets, which makes it popular for special days and anniversaries. Whether you are looking for a pasta restaurant in Misa or in Hanam, the menu should satisfy.

What comes in the set for 2 with Hanwoo steak?

This time I ordered the set for 2 with Hanwoo (Korean beef) steak. It is nicely put together from start to dessert, so it felt like a full course meal.

The complimentary pickles

The pickles served by default had just the right tang, so they were great for resetting my palate between bites. They are not overpowering, so they went well with both the steak and the pasta.

How were the Hanwoo striploin steak and shrimp bisque pasta?

The Hanwoo striploin steak was the thing I was looking forward to most, and it was juicy and tender. The bell pepper, asparagus, onion, sweet pumpkin and mushrooms grilled alongside it were each delicious in their own right.

The shrimp bisque pasta had a rich, appealing sauce. The noodles were cooked just right and the sauce clung to them, so I enjoyed it to the last bite. It was satisfying enough that I thought, yes, this really is a great pasta place in Misa.

From bread to dessert: my review

The set won me over from the bread and cheese spread. It was nutty and rich, and the corn soup that followed was smooth, with a nicely balanced thickness.

The house salad combined fresh greens, ricotta cheese and nuts for a refreshing taste. It went even better eaten with the steak.

Not just the Hanwoo steak, but the vegetables served with it were better than I expected. Eating the meat and vegetables together made the meal even more abundant.

I usually love coffee, and the iced Americano served after the meal was really satisfying. The lemonade was refreshing, and the vanilla ice cream at the end was a clean finish.

I had good memories of coming to Bokkeriu for a baby's birthday meal in the past, and even after a long gap, I had a satisfying meal again. Friendly service, tasty food and the Han River view made it a happy time.
