Forerest is a large forest-view café on Nogyang-ro in Uijeongbu, and a good drive destination from Seoul. This is a review of Forerest, a view-worthy café I found on a trip to Pocheon, with a lovely forest view. A great Uijeongbu café for a drive out of Seoul.

Good for a sudden rainy-day stop? What about parking?

Forerest is a large café with plenty of parking, so it was easy to pop in out of the rain. It suddenly started pouring, so we headed to Forerest to get out of it. It's the kind of spot where you wonder, "There's a café out here?!" but that makes it feel like a secret hideout with a great forest view, which I loved haha. And the parking lot is roomy.

It looks like a converted house, and besides the indoor space there's loads of outdoor space too, so Forerest is a lovely place for coffee among green trees.

Forerest asks for one menu item per person, and it's a pet-friendly café where pets are allowed.

Forerest's indoor spaces and photo spots

Starting with the full-length mirror photo spot at the entrance, Forerest's interior is split into 4 areas. The vibe is already lovely at the entrance haha. With a full-length mirror there, it's a photo spot you can't just walk past ^.^

The inside is divided into 4 spaces, and I liked that each one has its own mood. On weekends these rooms fill right up, that's how popular this drive-worthy view café in Uijeongbu, Forerest, is.

The central space was the hottest, with big panoramic windows, a great view and terrace seats. It was raining that day, so we skipped the terrace and sat inside. Photos of your back view here would turn out so pretty, a really Instagrammable view café in Uijeongbu, Forerest.

Green-chair seats by the innermost window

The innermost space was empty, so to enjoy a cozy, comfortable mood we sat in the pretty green chairs in front of the window. The vibe by the terrace seats is so good haha. That view makes you feel like you're in the middle of nature, the best 💚

Forerest menu: drinks and 5 Basque cheesecakes

Forerest's desserts are 5 Basque cheesecakes (plain, chocolate, black sesame, matcha and Earl Grey), and drinks include decaf coffee, organic tea, ades, lattes, juices and milk tea. Now that we were seated, time to order~.~ Coffee comes in decaf too, the tea is organic, and for non-coffee drinks there are ades, lattes and juices! Milk tea too, which I liked~~

And Forerest's dessert menu has 5 insanely good Basque cheesecakes. From plain Basque to chocolate, black sesame, matcha and Earl Grey, they sell dense, ridiculously tasty Basque cheesecake, so this is a café where you really have to have dessert.

The space we picked also looks so pretty in photos, and since the full-length mirror was visible from there, it was a photo spot too haha

Forerest's forest-view mood after the rain

After the rain, the forest view outside Forerest's windows, dotted with raindrops, was especially pretty, which made it a great rainy-season indoor date spot. As soon as our order arrived, photo time!! The after-rain mood is just perfect T.T The forest view is pretty, and the raindrops on the glass are the cherry on top 💧

All I can say is it's just such a pretty space 💚 A drive-worthy view café in Uijeongbu that's great for a rainy-season indoor date, Forerest. The black sesame Basque cheesecake I ordered was crazy good too 👍

How does Forerest's black sesame Basque cheesecake taste?

Forerest's black sesame Basque cheesecake has a strong black sesame flavor and aroma and is properly dense, so it went really well with the americano. Seriously, this Basque cheesecake is unbelievably good T.T This thing is totally insane, the best. The black sesame flavor and aroma are strong and the texture is properly thick and rich, so it was so, so, so, so delicious T.T It paired perfectly with the americano 👍

A break from the everyday in the middle of repetitive daily life, the rest I found at Forerest is so good 💚 The americano was clean-tasting and delicious too.

Both the coffee and the dessert were so good that I cleaned my plate. If it were near my home, I'd be dropping by like it's a bakery on a mission to conquer every Basque cheesecake haha That's how seriously good it was ❤️

Plain Basque cheesecake to go

I fell for the black sesame Basque and took home Forerest's plain Basque cheesecake, and my verdict in the end: plain is the best. It was so good that I got the plain Basque cheesecake to go. Ahh, plain Basque really is the best!!!!!!!!!!! Please have the Basque cheesecake at Forerest in Uijeongbu. I really want to try all the other flavors too T.T.T.T.T Dense Basque cheesecake that melts in your mouth, I love you!!!!!!!

Great mood, great view, and flawless coffee and Basque cheesecake too, a drive-worthy view café in Uijeongbu, Forerest. It was such a comfortable, lovely time to rest 🤎
