Car glass oil-film remover for rain: AutoGrooming
In short
AutoGrooming is a car glass oil-film remover tested on a slightly damp windshield after washing and on a bathroom shower screen in Korea. The included towel made the process simple, and rain visibility, nighttime glare, and shower-screen buildup all seemed improved. Verdict: a handy option for maintaining both car and bathroom glass.

On rainy days or while driving at night, my windshield sometimes looked glossy and my view felt hazy. I wanted to clear away the oil film, so I tried the AutoGrooming car glass oil-film remover.

What was inconvenient before removing the oil film?
Even with the wipers on in the rain, the glass did not wipe cleanly; it looked glossy, as if light were spreading across it. At first I thought the wipers were the problem, but after hearing it could be oil film, I decided to take care of it when washing the car.

Do you need to prepare a separate towel?
A work towel was included, so I could use it right away without preparing anything else. For me, it was convenient that the towel for applying and rubbing in the product came as part of the set.

How did I use the oil-film remover after washing the car?
I used it after a light wash, while a little water was still left on the glass. This was the order I followed:
- I gave the car a light wash and left a little moisture on the glass.
- I applied the product to the glass surface.
- I rubbed it with the included towel about five times.
- Finally, I rinsed it off with water or wiped it away.
In my case, the oil film seemed to clear up quite well even when I rubbed lightly without using much force. The process was simple, so it did not feel like much extra work during a car wash.

How did rainy-day and nighttime visibility feel afterward?
The biggest difference I noticed was visibility on rainy days. Before, rainwater seemed to spread across the glass; afterward, it seemed to run off more cleanly and my view felt clearer.
While driving at night, streetlights and car lights also seemed to glare less. Maybe because of that, driving felt a little less tiring too.
Did I try it on a bathroom shower screen too?
I tried it directly on the glass shower screen in the bathroom too. Water stains and oil film cleared up quite nicely, so I am using it at home as well as on the car glass.

What was the most convenient part of using it myself?
At first I thought removing oil film would be a hassle, but the towel was included and the steps were simple, so it was easier than I expected. Being able to use it on both car glass and bathroom glass was useful for me too.
