Charcoal cleansing balm makeup removal: HEEDA Jirisan Moist

What was my first impression of HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm?

I tried HEEDA's Jirisan Charcoal Cleansing Balm because I wanted to remove makeup while keeping my skin moisturized. The black packaging and clean design caught my eye, and it was compact enough to fit in one hand.

How are the container and texture designed?

There was a place to slot the spoon under the lid, and it initially came with a protective cap. The protective cap came off when I twisted open the lid.

The cleansing balm is black, and it scooped up smoothly and softly with the spoon. It felt like a stretchy, thick sauce with an ice-cream-like texture.

How did I use it to remove makeup?

After storing it so that water would not touch the product, I applied it to my face. I spread it over the areas with makeup and waited briefly for the cleansing ingredients to reach the sebum and pores.

Next, I added water to emulsify it and gently massaged it with my hands. As I added more water, I could see it emulsifying as the color changed.

How did it feel on dry yet oily skin?

It felt moisturizing and soft as it adhered to my skin. I tested it first to see whether my skin would react to it, and in my case it felt moisturizing without irritation.

The difference was not obvious in the after-washing photo, but I felt that my makeup and impurities had been removed, while a moisturized shine remained on my cheeks.
