In short
Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch is a new shabu-shabu and hotel-style buffet on the 2nd floor of Medical Plaza, opposite Suam Hoe Center in Yaeum-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. On an early-evening visit, the blogger had beef shabu-shabu in half-and-half broth, open-kitchen sushi, made-to-order waffles and free draft beer, and left the car at home just for the beer (weekday dinner is 29,900 won). Today I visited Shabre Garden (샤브르정원), a brand-new, piping-hot restaurant that just opened in Yaeum-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. You get shabu-shabu (hot pot with thinly sliced meat and vegetables), high-quality sushi, a hotel-grade dining buffet, and even unlimited beer, so word of mouth is already buzzing. Here's my full review of a seriously stuffed, delicious meal~♡
Where is Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch, and where can you park?

This shabu-shabu buffet in Yaeum-dong, Ulsan is on the 2nd floor of the newly built Medical Plaza, in front of Suam Hoe Center (수암회센타). Hours are 11:00–21:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00.

When I visited, the building's parking lot was under construction, so use the Suam Hoe Center lot right next door. Shabre Garden already has people waiting, so I went early in the evening.
Atmosphere and seating for families and groups
It's a newly opened branch, so it's really spacious and clean. So fresh and comfy~
The tables are partitioned, which is great for visiting as a family, and there's a variety of table setups, so groups can come too. Baby chairs are provided as well, so I'd recommend it for a family meal out with little ones.
How much is Shabre Garden The Black?
Shabre Garden's The Black (더블랙) lets you enjoy shabu-shabu and a hotel-style buffet together, and the draft beer is free. It's ₩24,900 for weekday lunch, ₩29,900 for weekday dinner, and ₩31,900 for both lunch and dinner on weekends and holidays.

What's on the Shabre Garden buffet?

The side dishes are so extensive that I couldn't tell if this was a shabu-shabu place or a hotel buffet. There are around 50 dining dishes, so deciding what to try was a happy dilemma.. haha

Everything from a wide variety of fresh shabu-shabu vegetables to the shabu-shabu meat is unlimited.

There are lots of sauces too, so mixing and matching to your taste is half the fun.

Is the draft beer really free?
Yes, and the Nam-gu branch in particular has free draft beer!! Because of this, I even left my car behind.. haha

Starting with fresh, zesty salads, there's a full spread of crispy, well-fried fried dishes and cooked dishes.

Sushi made in the open kitchen
In the open kitchen, the chefs keep making all kinds of sushi right there. From sushi with fresh raw fish (활어초밥) to rolls, the variety is huge.

With so many kinds of sushi, I felt like I'd be full just trying one of each.

Made-to-order waffles and a chocolate fountain at the dessert bar
The dessert corner has everything from fresh fruit to a chocolate fountain that kids love, plus freshly baked waffles. Seriously a waffle hotspot! Please try the waffles, they're so good.

There are lots of drinks too, and even coffee at the end, a full course~

They also have separate children's tableware, so it's good to visit with kids.
Beef shabu-shabu in half-and-half broth with a glass of draft beer
At Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch you can choose your broth too. I went with the half-and-half broth!

A table full of delicious food~ You can have everything from shabu-shabu to all sorts of dishes unlimited, so the value is seriously awesome!
I loaded in lots of fresh vegetables to bring out the broth first, then dunked in the beef, swish swish. With the half-and-half broth you get two flavors at once, so good. Mild and clean or spicy and hot, whatever you like.. yum yum yum
And an ice-cold draft beer on top, ahh~ Unlimited beer is seriously the best +_+
Sweet dessert to finish, perfect! I was really full and really happy with the meal.
Who should try Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch?
