Two awkward free hours after a Hongdae meeting: why Noknok?
I picked Noknok (녹녹) in Yeonnam-dong while looking for a quiet café with parking where I could open my laptop. My meeting in Hongdae had ended, and I had about 2 hours to kill before my next appointment! Too short to go home, and I didn't feel like opening my laptop in a crowded, chaotic café. Yeonnam-dong has plenty of cafés with great vibes, but when you actually go, there's often no parking, the seats are uncomfortable, or it's too packed to get any work done.

So I searched for "parking + laptop-friendly + quiet café", and the place I found was Noknok (KNOCK KNOCK) in Yeonnam-dong.

The short version: I parked comfortably right in front of the café, ordered one americano and one loaf of bread, and worked for almost 2 hours.

No parking worries, roomy seats, outlets, and best of all, it was quieter than I expected even on a Friday afternoon, so working here was really easy. If you're looking for a laptop-friendly café in Yeonnam-dong, this one is very satisfying, so let me share a detailed review of my visit!
How to get to Noknok, and parking

By public transit, Noknok is about 684m from Exit 3 of Hongik Univ. Station, roughly a 4-minute walk, so it's really close.

Best of all, Noknok has its own parking space, which is rare in Yeonnam-dong, so it's especially popular with people who come by car! I drove that day, and being able to use a café in Yeonnam-dong without parking stress was what I liked most.
The 1st and 2nd floors: how is it for laptop work?

Noknok uses both the 1st and 2nd floors, so it was much bigger than I expected. It didn't have that cramped feeling Yeonnam-dong cafés often have, it felt really open, and the Wi-Fi was fast, so working on my laptop went smoothly.
1st floor: the signature giant sofa and plants

The first thing you notice as soon as you walk in is Noknok's signature giant sofa. There's a mirror opposite it too, so it's great for mirror selfies.

The sofa area is so big that it's great for photos and for chatting with friends. I sat on it for a bit, and it really is plush. But it's so soft that it feels more like a place to rest than to work on a laptop!

The 1st floor mixes green plants with wood-toned interiors for a comfortable mood, and there were lots of table seats good for studying or working, so you can concentrate with a moderate level of background noise.
2nd floor: quiet seats for laptop work, and outlets
Personally, the 2nd floor was my favorite space at Noknok. I'd even call it a paradise for people who study and work in cafés. The tables are spaced widely and there are lots of seats, so it's great for opening up a laptop.
When I visited, quite a few people were studying or working, and it was sooo much quieter than the 1st floor. Outlets were well provided, so I could work without worrying about charging, and even on a Friday afternoon it was quiet enough to focus.
Noknok menu and prices: ₩3,000-range americano and a cream loaf

What surprised me most at Noknok was the price. These days an americano at a Yeonnam-dong café is usually ₩5,000–6,000, but Noknok starts in the ₩3,000 range, so it was much less of a burden.
I went in just for the coffee prices, and was surprised again by how many kinds of bread there were. Study cafés are often drink-focused, but Noknok had quite a variety of what looked like freshly baked bakery items.

In the afternoon when I visited, some popular items were already sold out, yet quite a lot of choices were still left.

There are sandwiches and croissants that work for a light lunch or brunch, and one display case holds Noknok's featured chewy loaf (jjeondeuk sikppang, chewy shokupan-style bread) lineup, so I ordered a cream loaf too. There were also plenty of snack and dessert options like salt bread, cream buns, canelés and scones!
Why I recommend Noknok in Yeonnam-dong

- A café with parking, which is rare in Yeonnam-dong
- A spacious, large café across the 1st and 2nd floors
- Seating that suits laptop work
- Outlets available
- Dogs allowed
Verdict: a big Yeonnam-dong café for laptop work and long stays
After visiting in person, what satisfied me most was that Noknok isn't just a pretty café but a large one where you can comfortably stay a long time working on a laptop or studying.

In particular, there aren't that many cafés in Yeonnam-dong that have parking, allow dogs, and still have affordable prices.

I went to get a bit of work done after my meeting in Hongdae, and I was far more satisfied than expected. If I'm in Yeonnam-dong again, I plan to come back! If you're looking for a Yeonnam-dong café with parking, a laptop café near Hongdae, or a study café in Yeonnam-dong, I recommend Noknok.
