I went shopping at Time Villas at Suwon Station and then enjoyed a great Chinese meal at Mirim Yangjang. From crispy Peking duck to jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), it was a Chinese restaurant I really enjoyed :)

I like Chinese food in general, so I went in with high expectations. Besides everyday jajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) and jjamppong, you can also have Peking duck here, which I loved!!! I'd like to recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant near Suwon Station or at Time Villas.
What is Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch like?
Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch is a Chinese restaurant on the 3rd floor of Time Villas Suwon, a good place for a meal after shopping.

It would suit a family meal or a date, and it's also good for ordering several dishes to share.

Since it has something special like Peking duck, it's a good place to visit when you want a slightly different meal from ordinary Chinese food.

The atmosphere is lovely too, right?

What did we order at Mirim Yangjang?
Looking at the menu, we ordered half a Peking duck, jjamppong and fried eggplant ^^

So many things sounded delicious that I agonized over it, but my partner firmly picked the eggplant, and we really enjoyed the fried eggplant too!!!! We also got a free zero cola for writing a Naver receipt review!
How does the shrimp jjamppong taste at Mirim Yangjang?
The jjamppong here has shrimp in it, and the broth was rich yet spicy. You can't skip jjamppong at a Chinese restaurant!! The shrimp made it look even more appetizing ^^ With the first bite I could taste that deep savory flavor typical of Chinese food, haha.

The shrimp and other ingredients blended together to make the broth feel even fuller ^_^ Eaten with the noodles and broth, it also made a hearty meal~!

Especially after a rich, savory dish like Peking duck, the spicy jjamppong broth cuts the greasiness, so the combination works well.

Personally, if you're ordering several dishes, I definitely recommend adding jjamppong!!
What is the fried eggplant at Mirim Yangjang?
Mirim Yangjang's fried eggplant is a big chunk of deep-fried eggplant topped generously with a sweet and spicy special sauce, finely chopped ingredients and sliced scallions. Crispy outside, juicy inside!!!! The spicy sauce was so appealing >< It was another dish that caught my eye at Mirim Yangjang!!!!! ♥
Even people who don't usually eat eggplant would be curious, it looked that good. With the sauce and scallions piled on, my mouth watered just looking at it!! haha
The biggest charm of the fried eggplant is of course that crispy-outside, juicy-inside texture!! haha The outside is fried crisp while the eggplant inside is moist and soft, so the different textures work together nicely ^^ The rich Chinese-style sauce adds savory depth too.

The sauce with chili peppers and scallions kept the fried food from getting greasy and added a spicy kick! Piling plenty of sauce on a big piece of eggplant gives you crispy batter, soft eggplant and rich seasoning in one bite :)
How was the half Peking duck at Mirim Yangjang?
What impressed me most about the half Peking duck was the contrast between crispy skin and moist meat, eaten wrapped in a thin wheat pancake with cucumber, shredded scallion and sauce. Peking duck was the dish I was most looking forward to this visit ^_^

Peking duck isn't something I eat often, so I was even more excited.

The most impressive part was the crispy duck skin!! The skin crunching in your mouth together with soft, moist duck meat is so appealing!!! The skin tastes nutty and the meat is tender, so the contrast in texture was great ^^
Peking duck wrapped in a wheat pancake
Put duck, cucumber and shredded scallion on a thin wheat pancake, add sauce, and take a bite. It goes together really well.

The savory duck, crunchy vegetables and savory sauce come together for a rich bite. The vegetables cut the oiliness of the duck, so it wasn't as heavy as I expected.

If you're looking for a good Peking duck restaurant in Suwon, this dish is worth a look!!

Wrapped in the pancake, it's just so delicious!!

Who would I recommend Mirim Yangjang Time Villas Suwon Branch to?
I loved being able to enjoy a variety of Chinese dishes in one place at Mirim Yangjang's Time Villas Suwon branch. The combination of crispy duck skin and moist meat was impressive, and wrapping it with vegetables and sauce in the pancake was fun too.

I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat after shopping at Time Villas Suwon, or who wants a slightly different Chinese meal. I had a happy day with my partner: a fun date, shopping and good food!!!
