Pre-wedding stamina meal at a Suwon eel all-you-can-eat: Songnim Bok
In short
Songnim Bok Jangeo Suwon Main Branch is a freshwater eel all-you-can-eat restaurant in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi. Worn out by wedding and moving preparations, the writer came with her husband and paid 29,900 won per person plus a 3,000 won table charge, for 32,900 won in total, then grilled eel, pork belly, pork neck and chicken neck over charcoal. The eel was springy with no fishy smell, and Songnim Bok Jangeo is a place she would happily return to with her parents.

This is a partially sponsored visit with the difference paid out of my own pocket — an honest review!!
Why wedding prep led us to eel all-you-can-eat in Suwon
Songnim Bok Jangeo Suwon Main Branch is a freshwater eel all-you-can-eat restaurant in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, open 10:50 AM to 10:00 PM. I was completely exhausted between wedding prep, moving, and work, and then the heat piled on top! I felt like I really needed some stamina food haha. So I visited Songnim Bok Jangeo Suwon. Eel all-you-can-eat sounded intriguing, so I was curious.

Songnim Bok Jangeo breaks the stereotype of all-you-can-eat — eel edition!!

Songnim Bok Jangeo prices and the first table setting
At Songnim Bok Jangeo Suwon Main Branch, all-you-can-eat for one adult was ₩29,900, plus a ₩3,000 table fee, totaling ₩32,900. As soon as we sat down, the side dishes and a first tray of eel, pork, and chicken neck arrived. The service was seriously fast lol. Thank you, thank you. Check the linked menu for details.

Weekend dining hall atmosphere and reservations
Even though it was an odd weekend time slot, there were quite a lot of people. And it was much more spacious than I expected. The open layout was really nice. There were reserved seats toward the back. On the day I visited, there were lots of families, so I'd recommend reserving ahead if you're coming with older relatives. Especially with a bigger group, finding a table can be a hassle. I'd suggest checking with the restaurant before your visit to confirm reservations!

What's at the self-serve bar?
The self-serve bar at Songnim Bok Jangeo had pork, chicken neck, and eel. You just take as much as you want and grill it yourself. There was pork ribs too, and I wanted to try them, but I was too full to manage haha.
Crackling charcoal, staring into the fire haha.

No delay — straight onto the grill. The heat was strong, which was great.

Pork belly, pork neck, and eel all sizzling away on the grill.

How did the eel taste?
Maybe because I came thinking about stamina food lol, but the eel got most of my chopsticks that day. It really felt firm and fresh. One bite and you'll think, wow, I'm going to demolish this eel today!

I really love wrapping food in lettuce leaves haha. Lettuce and perilla leaves are at the self-serve bar. Being able to eat as much as you want without feeling self-conscious makes a place so much more comfortable to use.

Pork neck goes great with a bite of white rice!! Thanks to my husband for keeping the grilling going nonstop haha.

Kept grilling more eel. Watching it turn golden brown makes you want to eat even more. That day I mostly stuck with eel over everything else. If you're looking for Suwon eel all-you-can-eat, this is basically how to do it!

A bite of meat too. Looks like it's not fully cooked but it is. I'm a fan of the perilla leaf and lettuce combo when wrapping.

One firm, plump piece of eel. You can practically feel the texture from the photo. The flesh wasn't fishy at all and the quality was solid.

Why Songnim Bok Jangeo works for a meal with parents
While waiting for the eel to cook, dinnertime approached and the tables filled up completely. Word travels fast about tasty places, I guess. It seems like a great spot for large families. Just from what I saw, there were two tables with three generations dining together. It felt like a good place to bring my own parents.
Right as our charcoal started dying down, they refilled it for us haha.

Fresh charcoal arrived, so back to grilling!! I told myself I'd just eat two more pieces and stop. But it's the kind of food you never get tired of haha.

Finishing with rice mixed with ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste)
My finale was rice mixed with my favorite ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste)!! Of course it's basically a sodium bomb, so I only had one bite. Hold back — less than 7 days left until the wedding~
All-you-can-eat eel of this quality?? Once word gets around, this place is going to get really crowded. I want to bring my parents before that happens haha. If you're looking for a good eel restaurant in Suwon, give Songnim Bok Jangeo a try. I think I'll be back for more eel.
