Family dinner booked 2 weeks ahead: Gwangalli sashimi spot Gwanganda

My dad had just come back from a business trip, so we headed to Gwangalli for a nice family dinner. Since everyone in my family loves sashimi, I went looking for somewhere good and

found out about a Gwangalli sashimi restaurant where sashimi and all kinds of seafood dishes come out one after another like a course meal — so we visited Gwanganda Jjji (광안다찌) Gwangalli Main Branch. Since we wanted a relaxed family dinner, we booked about 2 weeks ahead of our visit.

Where is Gwanganda Jjji Gwangalli Main Branch, and where do you park?

Gwanganda Jjji Gwangalli Main Branch is on the 6th floor of Sanbada Hoetown, near Millak Waterside Park.

It wasn't hard to spot from outside the building, and you just take the elevator up to the 6th floor.

Since we came by car, we were able to use the building's 1st-floor parking lot.

There's also nearby public parking worth keeping in mind.

Why the family dinner was booked 2 weeks ahead

Gwanganda is in Millak-dong, so it's worth keeping in mind if you're searching for good Millak-dong restaurants too.

Since we were visiting as a family and wanted to eat at a leisurely pace at the time we wanted, we booked about 2 weeks in advance.

If you're planning a family gathering or a visit with your parents, it's a good idea to book as soon as the date is set.

The restaurant is on the 6th floor of the building, and once inside, Gwangan Bridge and the Busan sea came into full view through the floor-to-ceiling windows — the atmosphere was really great.

It's not just a place to eat sashimi and leave — you get to enjoy the classic Gwangalli scenery too, so I felt like we'd picked a great spot for a family dinner.

What comes with the 55,000-won dachi set

What we ordered was the dachi set (다찌한상). It's 55,000 won per person — just looking at the price, I didn't think it sounded especially cheap.

But once the dishes started coming out one by one, my mind completely changed. It's not just a plate of sashimi — the spread kept going with all kinds of seafood, banchan (side dishes), main sashimi, and hot dishes, and once we actually ate it, it felt really generous for the price.

A table full of seafood side dishes to start

After ordering and waiting a bit, the first round of dishes filled the whole table.

Scallops, cockles, grilled eel, sashimi salad, abalone and conch, sea squirt, raw shrimp — a wide variety of seafood dishes came out, so it was fun picking through them even before the main sashimi arrived.

Unlike a typical Gwangalli sashimi restaurant where you just eat sashimi with a few side dishes, the charm of the dachi set was being able to enjoy many small dishes one after another.

Each of us liked slightly different things, but with so many kinds of dishes, it was easy for everyone to pick their favorites and share.

The second round of dishes at Gwanganda Jjji

While we were still working through the first spread, more dishes followed one after another — abalone, live octopus, soy-marinated crab, shrimp and chive pancake, cream shrimp.

It wasn't just an endless stream of cold seafood — hot dishes were mixed in between too, so the lineup never felt monotonous.

Watching the dishes keep coming while we were still eating, I could kind of see why some people choose this as their go-to for family gatherings and dinners in Millak-dong.

The main mixed sashimi platter arrives

After all that seafood, the mixed sashimi platter we'd been waiting for finally arrived.

Several kinds of sashimi came out together on one plate, so it was fun picking through them one by one — and thinking back on everything we'd already eaten, the 55,000-won-per-person set felt even more worth it.

You could dip it in soy sauce or vinegared gochujang, or put it over rice sushi-style for a different way to enjoy it.

Blue crab stew and steamed fish keep coming

After the mixed sashimi, I thought we were basically done, but hot dishes like crab stew, steamed fish, and fried food kept on coming.

After the sashimi, having warm broth and hot dishes come next naturally shifted the flow of the meal, and it felt like slowly working through several courses.

The finale: abalone porridge

At the very end, abalone porridge (전복죽) arrived.

We were already really full, but finishing with warm porridge felt like a proper ending to the whole dachi set course.

From the banchan and seafood to the mixed sashimi, hot dishes, and finally the abalone porridge, our family felt it was really solid value for what we got.

Is Gwanganda Jjji worth it for a family dinner in Gwangalli?

This meal meant a lot since it was right after my dad got back from his business trip. Being able to slowly share so many dishes while looking out at Gwangan Bridge and the sea made it more memorable than an ordinary dinner out.
