Busan Chinese restaurant packed at 2 PM, smoky jjamppong: Surabanjeom

Surabanjeom Gaya Branch (수라반점 가야점) is a Chinese restaurant on Eomgwang-ro in Gaya-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan, near Donguidae Station. Around 2 PM, with Surabanjeom Gaya Branch almost full, the writer ordered the set for two: large jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) and mini tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). A self-declared jjajangmyeon fan, the writer was won over by the spicy, smoky jjamppong, and with free rice and a self-serve bar, Surabanjeom Gaya Branch is a filling meal worth a return visit.
