What kind of pork BBQ restaurant is Dwitdon Sanghoe, Jeonpo Branch?
Dwitdon Sanghoe is a beloved BBQ spot in Jeonpo, a rare place that sells not just samgyeopsal but a wide range of special pork cuts.
It's technically in Jeonpo-dong but actually closer to Bujeon Station. Walk down from exit 2 and you'll spot it right on the main street — super easy to find.

The interior has that classic old-school tavern vibe with the tables all set up. Feels like the kind of place where the drinks just flow. Honestly there were quite a few people day-drinking too haha.

Dwitdon Sanghoe menu and tablet ordering
Here's the menu board. True to being a special-cuts specialist, they had a wide variety of pork special cuts. And of course, samgyeopsal — they even had three kinds. The prices are so reasonable too, right? Truly a great-value BBQ spot ♥

Every table has a tablet for easy self-ordering.
If you leave a review on Naver receipt review, Google Maps, or Danggeun Market, they give you a free doenjang stew or kimchi stew — definitely worth doing.
Samgyeopsal, dwittong grilled, flower-cut samgyeopsal, cold noodles. First we ordered the classic samgyeopsal along with my favorite, dwittongsal (pork neck meat).

To bring out the chewy, savory texture of dwitgogi (back meat), you can try various special cuts like dwittongsal, ppolsal (cheek meat), gwanjasal (jowl meat), and kotdeungsal (snout ridge meat).

Free side dishes at Dwitdon Sanghoe, including tofu kimchi
The side dishes arrived right after we ordered the meat. Mustard leaf kimchi to go with the meat, salted anchovy sauce, pickled onions, lettuce wraps, and scallion salad all came standard. And tofu kimchi too?! You know tofu kimchi and grilled meat is a killer combo. Really felt the owner's thoughtfulness there.
Various salts and sauces for dipping, plus a generous portion of myeoljeot (salted anchovy sauce), rounded out the side dishes.

The tofu was soft and the kimchi was sweet and salty — this alone would make a perfect drinking snack! We started filling up on tofu kimchi first.

Charcoal-grilling 2 servings of samgyeopsal and 2 of dwittongsal
Our samgyeopsal (2 servings) and dwittongsal (2 servings) arrived. The portion was pretty generous. The meat was thick with good marbling too. Cute touch — the plate was shaped like a pig haha.

Let's start with the gorgeous samgyeopsal. The nicely balanced amount of fat was really satisfying. Samgyeopsal really is all about the fat!

We grilled the dwittongsal (pork neck meat) alongside it too. Dwitdon Sanghoe uses charcoal instead of gas, so the meat gets that smoky char flavor!
The grill was also a round type that drains fat well, so nothing splattered — loved that. And the myeoljeot bubbling away as we ate was the perfect finishing touch.
The dwittongsal and samgyeopsal turned golden brown. The savory bite of the dwittongsal paired with the soft, fatty samgyeopsal.

Wrapping the meat with mushrooms and scallion salad was so good. The meat itself was really tender, practically melting in my mouth. The side dishes were well-seasoned and cut through the richness, so I ended up eating even more haha.

For the dwittongsal, I especially loved that thick fatty part. It's less soft and more like a chewy dwitgogi texture — I really like that satisfying bite. Of course, since the meat quality was top notch, it tasted amazing no matter how it was grilled.

Free bomb steamed egg and 2nd anniversary cola
Apparently they usually give out free bibim noodles, but they were sold out, so they gave us a free steamed egg instead! The fluffy steamed egg was really tasty too. And to celebrate their 2nd anniversary, they gave us free cola as well. The owner was so kind that the whole meal felt pleasant from start to finish.

Don't cut the shaved flower belly before eating
Next up was the flower-cut belly we ordered as an extra. Unlike regular thin-sliced belly, this one was spread out wide in a flower shape. It also felt slightly thicker than standard thin-cut belly, more like old-school samgyeopsal.

The flower-cut belly pieces were so big that just two of them filled the whole grill.
In this summer heat, nothing beats how fast thin-cut meat cooks haha.

Flower-cut belly tastes way better eaten whole rather than cut up. Wrap it around scallion salad, dip it generously in sesame oil, and eat it in one bite — delicious... so good >< The moment I truly discovered flower-cut belly.

Cold noodles to finish and self-serve bar refills
Just like that, the two of us demolished 600g of meat. The portion was pretty big and the meat quality was so good I ended up overeating without realizing it...
Full, but I just can't resist a bit more food. After debating with doenjang stew, we went with cold noodles for a refreshing finish. The noodles were chewy and the broth was cool and tangy — the noodle dish was satisfying too.

You can refill pickled sides and other banchan at the self-serve bar. For mustard leaf kimchi or pickled onion, the owner refills it personally! Seeing him notice when things were running low and refill them without being asked was a second wave of impressed-ness ♥

There's also a restroom inside the restaurant, which was convenient.
