Gudi Station bar for dried filefish and Hanmac draft beer: Eulji Pocha

Today I'm sharing my visit to Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch (을지포차 구로디지털단지점), a Gudi Station bar that's perfect for a casual drink after work or on a weekend.

Where is Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch, and what are its hours?

Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch is at 12 Dijiteol-ro 32na-gil, Guro-gu, Seoul, on the 1st floor, and it's open daily from 17:00 to 06:00 the next day (last order 05:00). The mood feels like the hip, retro alleys of Euljiro moved right here, and it caught my eye from the entrance.

The place is big and the tables are nicely spaced out, so it's just right for an after-work company dinner or a get-together with friends. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a Gudi Station bar with both atmosphere and good food.

What did we order for round two?

For round two at Eulji Pocha, I ordered dried filefish (jwipo), Real Saeukkang (shrimp chips) and Hanmac draft beer. I'd finished round one already and just came for something light!

I was full, but I still wanted tasty snacks and a cold beer, so I ordered the dried filefish, the shrimp chips and a Hanmac draft.

How do you get coins in Eulji Pocha's "Eulji Munbanggu" system?

Eulji Pocha has a system called "Eulji Munbanggu" (을지문방구, Eulji stationery shop) that gives you coins depending on how much you order. This fun coin system is what really sets it apart from other pocha (Korean-style pub) places.

• Side dishes ₩10,000–20,000: 2 coins
• Drinks / side dishes ₩10,000 or less: 1 coin
• 2 coins for posting an Instagram story, 4 coins for writing a review

You can spend the coins freely in the nostalgic play area set up inside the bar.

How was the Hanmac draft beer?

The Hanmac draft beer at Eulji Pocha had really soft foam and a clean finish. The glass came full to the brim, and you could tell at a glance how fresh it was!! One sip and the stress of the whole day just flew away 😊

While waiting for the food, I looked around and found a dalgona (honeycomb candy) making corner and a cotton candy machine too. It felt just like the little stationery shops in front of elementary schools when I was a kid. So many memories 💙

Are dried filefish and shrimp chips good round-two snacks?

The dried filefish came golden-grilled with peanuts and seaweed, and the combo worked so well! Tear it up and dip it in mayo with green chili pepper!

The shrimp chips came out smelling nutty, and they were seriously great! Every bite was a burst of savory crunch, and nothing goes better with a drink.

They're salty and keep you reaching for more, so even though I was full, I just kept eating.

What can you do with the coins?

At Eulji Pocha, 1 coin gets you a claw machine or a retro game, which is perfect for betting against friends, haha. The claw machine is so hard, haha!!

That Hanmac draft foam is amazing! It's soft like some kind of cloud. I kept saying "wow!" and kept drinking, haha.

Collect 4 coins and you can take keepsake photos in the in-store four-cut photo booth (Life Four Cuts), haha. And it's not just the booth: Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch is decorated with retro signs and lights, so it has that cozy yet hip pocha feel. The interior is pretty, so photos come out great wherever you shoot.

After happily playing the claw machine, I handed over a coin on the way out and picked up a cold ice cream. It was such a perfect way to end the night and put me in a great mood!

Is Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch worth going back to?

Even though they were busy, the Eulji Pocha staff were friendly to the very end, so I enjoyed the whole visit. With a tasty, solid snack lineup plus plenty of events and things to do, I think this will become my regular Gudi Station bar.
