Non-alcoholic beer and udon-topped BBQ chicken at Monthly Beer, Guro
In short
Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch is a Korean-style bar near the Guro Kkalkkal-geori alley in Guro, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Guro Digital Complex Station. Off alcohol at the time, the writer ordered a non-alcoholic Terra Zero with the signature charcoal BBQ chicken plus a udon noodle add-in and potato cheese sticks, and found the food mild rather than spicy and generous enough to fill tables with guests from their 20s to their 50s and 60s. Because even non-drinkers can enjoy the bar mood with zero-alcohol beer, Monthly Beer works well for group nights out and company dinners in Guro.

Nampponi and I both finished work near Guro around the same time one day, so we decided to grab dinner near the Guro Kkalkkal-geori alley. I've been off alcohol lately (trying to conceive, so no drinking!), and somehow I still had a craving for a bar. I promised myself I'd stick to zero-alcohol beer and finally checked out a place I'd been curious about for a while!
Bottom line up front,
- A menu packed with dishes every age group will love!
- A huge range of world beers, plus zero-alcohol beer too!
It was packed on a weekday evening — proof this is a certified popular bar in Guro. Let me introduce it: "Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch."
Where is Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch, and how do you get there?
Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch sits near the Guro Kkalkkal-geori alley, a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Guro Digital Complex Station (Gudi Station). It's right by public transit (bus and subway), which probably explains why it's already popular for meetups, group outings, and company dinners in Guro!

I'd passed by and seen the name "Monthly Beer" before — such a hip name, and the vibe looked great too, so I'd wanted to come for a while.

The menu covers pizza, chicken, stews, fried food, and bingsu (shaved ice) — basically something delicious for every generation to bond over. I was excited before I even walked in!

Full tables on a weekday evening: who eats at Monthly Beer?
Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch was nearly full the whole evening even though it was a weekday. Are you sure this is a Tuesday night, haha?
And the crowd was genuinely mixed — people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, even 50s and 60s! If you pick this already-certified Guro favorite for a company dinner, your coworkers will probably thank you for it!

Up front there's a draft beer bar and the kitchen, and staff bring your order right to the table.

Everyone genuinely looked like they were having a great time — I love that bar energy where you just get swept up in it too!

Table setup: paper cups, bottle opener, napkins, trash bin, with utensils tucked in a drawer under the table.

There's a huge variety of drinks and even more side dishes, so honestly every kind of customer should be satisfied here. For anyone still hungry, there are also simple extra bites on the menu!

What we ordered at Monthly Beer: charcoal BBQ chicken with udon add-in and Terra Zero
Our first order at Monthly Beer was the signature charcoal BBQ chicken with an udon noodle add-in, plus a Terra Zero!

The basic side snacks were Jjanggu crackers, chicken-leg-shaped snacks, and Twist snacks — sweet little crackers that came out, and honestly totally my type of snack..!

Terra Zero: the non-alcoholic beer pick at Monthly Beer
They poured my Terra Zero nice and cold, and it tasted better than I expected — I ended up genuinely enjoying it! I used to be a Hite Zero loyalist, but now I'm into Terra Zero too!

Charcoal BBQ chicken with udon noodles tossed in the sauce
Ugh, I was so hungry — the charcoal-scented chicken with the udon noodle combo was an insane pairing and I just started eating like a madwoman! True to its signature status, the sauce was great, and best of all, it wasn't spicy! A dish literally anyone would like.

Potato cheese sticks with long, stretchy cheese
We also ordered potato cheese sticks. Visually it reminded me of those cheerful corn dogs.
But wait... the cheese stretches THAT much?! It's basically salty and delicious from the start, so it's the kind of thing your hand just keeps reaching for.

Looking at the photos again, the cheese pull is genuinely ridiculous — I had to snap a picture. If you love cheese, you absolutely must order this!!
Is Monthly Beer a good bar for group nights and company dinners in Guro?

The food was tasty, the vibe was great, and everyone around us looked like they were having a blast — that was "Monthly Beer." It's been a while since Nampponi and I just chatted over drinks like that, and even sticking to zero-alcohol beer, I still got to enjoy the full bar atmosphere — such a happy day.
Plus, with such a wide range of alcohol and even zero-alcohol beer on offer, people who don't drink or who are driving can comfortably come along too! I recommend "Monthly Beer" as a go-to bar in Guro — that's it for now!
