Why Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch is worth five visits
Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch is a BBQ restaurant on Deogyeong-daero 895beon-gil near the Suwon Station Rodeo Street. Including a self-paid company dinner, I think I've visited more than five times now — it's my genuine go-to spot. If you're looking for good pork belly in Suwon, this is the first place that comes to mind.
Parking and how to find Ssosam 208
On the first floor of the Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch building there's this great BBQ restaurant, and a raw fish restaurant on the second floor.

It's a five-minute walk from Suwon Station's Rodeo Street, Lotte Mall, and AK Plaza, so you can easily stop by after shopping or a movie.
If you're driving, park at Hwanggeum Parking behind the restaurant. Make sure to register your car number at the counter when paying to get two hours free.
Waiting time and the atmosphere inside
The interior is very spacious and comfortable, making it a great spot for office workers' group dinners.
There are plenty of tables, so it's more than suitable for large group gatherings too.

It has that classic, quintessential BBQ restaurant vibe that comes to mind when you think of a great meat place.

Ssosam 208 menu and prices
Ssosam 208 Suwon Station Branch has everything from juicy pork belly to pork neck, thousand-layer pork belly, and pork ribs.
If it's hard to decide which cut to order, I recommend the well-rounded mixed stone-grill platter.

Free rice noodles and side dishes at Ssosam 208
Once you sit down, they bring out warm rice noodle soup as a complimentary starter.

This rice noodle soup is a hidden gem — the broth is rich and deep, and it's genuinely delicious.

They also set out side dishes right away, like sweet-and-sour scallion salad and wild garlic leaves.

Mixed stone-grill platter (medium) 500g, 48,500 won, grilled by the staff
I ordered the mixed stone-grill platter, medium, 500g for ₩48,500. It's a hearty, generous combination of 250g of thick-cut pork belly, 150g of pork neck, and 100g of thousand-layer pork belly.
The staff grill the meat for you, and it comes out already cut into nice, easy-to-eat pieces.
It's not the awkward kind of dinner where one person grills while everyone else just eats — everyone can relax and enjoy together, which I really appreciate.

True to a place that really brings out the flavor of the meat, Ssosam 208 even has a special grill plate. Shaped like a rising volcano, it locks in the juices while letting the fat drain down, giving a really clean flavor.

You can tell at a glance that the meat is high-quality and fresh. Grilled together with tangy kimchi, mild tofu, and sweet pineapple, it all comes together in perfect harmony — absolute perfection.
Cheongdo rock minari (water dropwort), 4,500 won
I also highly recommend the fragrant Cheongdo rock minari, which pairs wonderfully with the meat.
If you come here, definitely add the minari and grill it lightly on the plate — that's how you bring out its distinctive aroma.

The fragrant minari filling your mouth alongside the savory pork belly is a match made in heaven.

Salted anchovy sauce and the house garlic sauce
Dipping the meat generously into the salty, savory salted anchovy sauce is also fantastic.

The house garlic sauce here is genuinely amazing — clean and refreshing with a little kick, it's outstanding.

Free lettuce whenever you ask
Lettuce for wraps has to be requested separately, but they bring out a generous, free amount.

When enjoying the rich, flavorful pork belly, fragrant perilla leaf wraps are the best, I think.

Adding a piece of nicely grilled kimchi and wrapping it up big in a lettuce leaf is also excellent.
Lava fondue cheese, 5,000 won
Another appealing side dish here you absolutely cannot skip is the lava fondue cheese.

It's not your typical bland cheese — it's a rich, savory rosé-style sauce, which makes it extra special.

It's sold à la carte for ₩5,000, but it can be complimentary if you participate in a review event.

Dipping well-grilled meat into it is delicious, but there's an even better way to enjoy it — see below.
Basalt snow cheese kimchi fried rice, 6,000 won
For the finishing fried rice, you absolutely must order the basalt snow cheese kimchi fried rice.

After finishing the meat, the kimchi fried rice spread wide across the leftover grill plate is a gorgeous sight.

They pile it generously with salty, savory roasted seaweed flakes and nutty snow cheese on top.

The unexpected combo of spicy kimchi fried rice with the lava fondue cheese I'd saved is amazing.

Mixing the two together deliciously feels just like eating a thick, creamy rosé risotto.
Beef brisket doenjang stew, 3,000 won
It's generously packed with savory beef brisket, and at just ₩3,000, the value is really unbeatable.
If you're looking for real, proper pork belly BBQ in Suwon, be sure to visit Ssosam 208, where they grill it for you.
