Korean melon ade and 36 plants at Jeonpo brunch spot Odd Bird Oliver
In short
Odd Bird Oliver is a brunch and pasta restaurant on Dongseong-ro 15beon-gil in Jeonpo, Busanjin, Busan. Parking at the Jeonpo Station lot and walking 5–6 minutes from Exit 4, the writer and a friend ordered a Bismarck focaccia sandwich, a small carrot soup, jamón mushroom risotto and a chamoe (Korean melon) ade. Between the 36 plants and wine bottles filling the room and the chewy barley against the jamón, Odd Bird Oliver is an easy recommendation for a date or a wedding-invitation get-together.

How to get to Odd Bird Oliver and where to park
I parked at the Jeonpo Station parking lot, and if you go out Exit 4, Odd Bird Oliver is about a 5–6 minute walk away!
Outside Odd Bird Oliver: a woody facade with the menu posted by the door

Odd Bird Oliver in Jeonpo has quite the reputation for being delicious, so I went with a friend to check it out.

The colorful sign blended so well with the woody exterior that it really caught my eye. It made me curious what kind of atmosphere was waiting inside 🏠

Odd Bird Oliver even posted the menu outside so people waiting — or just passing by — could take a look. That kind of thoughtfulness was touching,,
Inside Odd Bird Oliver: open kitchen, tables for 2 to 6, window seats

The open kitchen at Odd Bird Oliver has such a wood-tone interior that it felt like being abroad — warm and homey but also refined at once, and that added a layer of coziness that made the whole visit relaxing. The exterior already had me sold before I even walked in, and the interior was just as much my style 🌿

With everything from 2-person to 4-person and 6-person tables, this place works great for wedding-invite gatherings or a date too!! If a friend is having a wedding-invite meetup, I'd recommend this place — my personal number one.
The view through the window is also perfect 🪟✨ Instead of always seeing nature, here you get a fresh view facing a building — something only Odd Bird Oliver's own particular mood gives you.

The lush plants, the wine bottles lined along the wall, and the softly glowing lights all came together to naturally and warmly fill a space that could otherwise have felt empty :)
There's also a restroom, so you can use it comfortably.
The Odd Bird Oliver menu: sets, salads, brunch and pasta

There's a set menu that's great value, plus a free item that comes with a set order — perfect for anyone who wants to try several dishes.

From salads to brunch, pasta, and chicken sides, there's a wide variety of dishes so you can find something that matches your taste 🍲 There's so much good stuff it might take a while to decide,, haha. We ended up ordering the Bismarck sandwich, small soup, jamón mushroom risotto, and chamoe ade.

The focaccia bread, baked fresh every day, was sitting there looking so good — how could I not order the sandwich? ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Getting hungry just thinking about it,,

Let's wait and watch the owners carefully preparing our order in the neatly organized open kitchen.
Table setting and everything we ordered at Odd Bird Oliver

Water, neatly arranged plates, and a fork and spoon come as the basic setting.
Bismarck focaccia sandwich with a small soup
Bismarck Focaccia Sandwich & Small Soup. The small soup arrived first, so I snapped a photo — the house-made jambon, ricotta cheese, poached egg, and a hint of truffle made for a perfectly balanced Bismarck sandwich, and it paired so well with the carrot soup 🥕

If you like sandwiches, you'll know this — packing in more fillings doesn't automatically make it tastier. Too many ingredients can actually bury each individual flavor. But at Odd Bird Oliver, every ingredient blended harmoniously while each flavor still came through clearly, and I loved that :)
A chewy, savory focaccia sandwich.

I want to eat it again,,,, do you know how badly I want to show you all the truly delicious things ,, Unlike places that just go through the motions, this one puts real heart into the food, so I recommend it with confidence!!

Small carrot soup that doesn't taste like carrot
I'm not really a fan of that distinct carrot flavor either, and apparently the owner of Oliver feels the same way! So this carrot soup is made with just three ingredients — carrot, onion, and butter — but it doesn't taste like carrot at all, just clean and full-bodied, which made it easy to eat. A dish I kept reaching for again and again 🥕

Jamón mushroom risotto with chewy barley
Wow, this was seriously amazing. It's frustrating that my words can't fully capture it — exactly as the owner described, a genuinely 'fun' dish. The salty jamón against the chewy, crunchy barley made for such a fun texture. And more than anything, the combination of jamón, arugula, and barley felt unusual yet came together beautifully, which surprised me.

Chamoe (Korean melon) ade and the service
The chamoe (Korean melon) ade was such a good pick ,,,,, highly recommend haha. And the owner and staff here are so kind,, they explain each menu item so thoughtfully that hearing it made the ingredients and characteristics of the food taste even better 🌿
