Whenever I go to Songjeong, I look for a good dog-friendly restaurant with a nice atmosphere near the sea 🌊 Just Chilling Bistro is one I really love — you can have brunch early in the day and wine in the evening! Terrace seats and the mood at Just Chilling Songjeong

Close to Songjeong Beach, this Haeundae brunch spot is a great place to head to for a meal after surfing or a walk along the sea. Being on the ground floor, it's easy to access, with strollers and wheelchairs in mind too.

There's an outdoor terrace space too, perfect for eating outside on a nice day like this. The cozy, sunlit space and the terrace atmosphere feel great for bringing your dog along! (Proof of vaccination required for dog-friendly seating)

The space felt warm yet stylish — not overly decorated, but the lighting, props, and tables blended naturally together, making it comfortable to sit and enjoy a leisurely meal.

With the warm sunlight, quiet and emotive music, and cozy atmosphere, this would be a great place to come to after a date in Songjeong, and it's also a nice spot for a relaxed solo brunch, like the one I had.

Just Chilling is a French-based casual dining spot with Korean elements mixed in, a fusion style that felt more special than a typical brunch menu 🌿 It's also a popular dinner date spot for pasta and wine with friends or a partner.

If you're curious what the dishes look like, each table has a photo album you can check — handy, since the pasta here is famous and comes in many varieties. I ordered the fig cheese salad and the chimichurri steak!

Fig cheese salad

Fresh vegetables paired with sweet figs and soft cheese — this salad would make a great wine pairing or appetizer! I could taste the fig's gentle sweetness, the cheese's savory softness, and the crisp crunch of the vegetables all at once! Since they use seasonal fruit, you might get something other than fig depending on the season.

No harmful additives, eco-friendly ingredients, in-house grown arugula and vegetables, quality blends, and homemade sauces — all meant to bring out the natural flavor of the ingredients. Eating it, I could tell this wasn't just a pretty plate — this Songjeong spot clearly puts real care into every single ingredient!

Signature chimichurri steak

The doneness and plating looked so good I naturally reached for my camera first! The chimichurri steak is the signature dish.

The outside was seared just right with a savory flavor, and the inside was juicy and never tough. The clean flavor of the meat itself came through, and adding the sauce and sides made the flavor even richer — it was so good.

Eating it with the homemade chimichurri sauce, carrot rapée, and salad kept it from feeling too heavy, which I loved, and it seems like it would pair really well with wine — next time I'll come in the evening and have it with a glass!

Is Just Chilling Songjeong worth a visit?

This felt like a great Songjeong spot for relaxed meals with friends, a lovely date restaurant for couples, and also a comfortable place for quiet solo time like mine — I'd recommend this bistro to anyone looking for Haeundae brunch 🍷 This time I had the steak and fig cheese salad, but next time I'll come back for pasta and wine!
