Gwangju hair salon for a tidy CS curl perm: Eco Revi Hair & Spa

It had been a while, so I went to a hair salon to get my hair neatly tidied up and have a little change of mood, too. This time, I visited Eco Revi Hair & Spa Gwangju Hanam Branch (에코레비헤어앤스파 광주하남점).

Parking and my hair before the visit

There is a parking lot behind the salon, and if it is full, you can use a nearby public parking lot. I found a spot behind the salon, so parking was easy.

Olive Young and Daiso are on either side of the salon, so it is in a handy spot for taking care of other errands at the same time. I had plans in the afternoon, so I made an early-morning appointment. My existing hippie perm had loosened a lot over time and was starting to look messy.

So rather than changing my style too dramatically, I wanted a cut and a neat refresh with a perm that would suit my face shape.

A spacious salon and one-on-one consultation

When I entered, I was surprised because it was much bigger and more spacious than I had expected.

They say it is 200 pyeong, and it definitely felt roomier than a typical hair salon, so I could have my service done comfortably without feeling cramped.

What I especially liked was that there was a separate consultation room. I received a one-on-one consultation about my scalp and hair condition, along with a systematic explanation of care suited to its current state, so I felt confident even though it was my first visit. Soyeon was my stylist that day. At the first consultation, she listened carefully to the style I wanted and then recommended a perm that would suit my face shape within that direction.

I liked that she did not simply push a style she wanted to do. She preserved the direction I had in mind as much as possible while helping me find a style that suited me.

There was also a changing room for storing belongings, which was convenient.

The waiting area was neat as well, which I liked.

Build perm with CS curls

I decided on a build perm with CS curls and got started. Soyeon kept chatting with me comfortably throughout the service, so it never felt awkward and I was genuinely at ease.

Soyeon was so kind and easy to talk to that, although the service took around three hours, time flew by while we chatted haha.

Why I liked having a lid on my drink

They brought me an Americano and cookies, and the cookies in the blue packet were so good. I also really liked that the coffee had a lid. Usually, at hair salons, they give you only a cup without a lid, right? But hair salons use lots of sprays and products, and I always worried something might get into my drink. Here, they closed it with a lid, which was great.

A service that checks scalp and hair condition

Eco Revi Hair & Spa says it places importance on scalp and hair health, and from the consultation through the service itself, I felt that they carefully checked the condition of my hair.

They also use Eco Revi natural products and say they exclude 20 harmful ingredients, including parabens, silicone, and sulfates. If your hair has been damaged by frequent perms or coloring, this may be something worth considering.

How to create volume at the sides at home

After the service, Soyeon also shared useful tips for styling my hair at home. In particular, she showed me how to lift the volume at the sides nicely, which was personally so useful because I am not usually very good at creating side volume! Rather than just leaving with pretty salon hair, I was even more satisfied because she taught me how to style it myself at home.

What I felt during this visit was that this is more than simply a place to get your hair done; it checks your scalp and hair condition and helps you find a style that suits you. With such a spacious salon and a separate consultation room, I think even first-time visitors could consult comfortably.

If, like me, your existing perm has loosened a lot and you want to tidy it up, or if you first want advice about what style suits your face shape, a one-on-one consultation at Eco Revi Hair & Spa Gwangju Hanam Branch could be a good idea. And I really liked that it stays open until 10 PM, so you can get a perm later in the evening.

If you want thorough care from scalp and hair management to personal hair consulting, keep this in mind when looking for a hair salon in Gwangju Hanam. Since I still had a lot of my old hippie perm left, they said it might look a little messy after the perm, but they also did a light straightening treatment, and the curls came out well. Next time, I would like to try the head spa too haha.
