Why I went to Daecheon Brewery on my Boryeong trip

Daecheon Brewery was a place I really wanted to visit while planning my Boryeong trip. I was looking for somewhere to enjoy a good brunch with that relaxed seaside-trip feeling, and after actually going, I was happy with everything from the atmosphere to the food to the craft beer.

What is the atmosphere like at Daecheon Brewery?

Daecheon Brewery runs as a brewery and pizza pub that makes its own craft beer in Boryeong, so it's popular with locals as well as travelers. The spacious, stylish interior gave off a travel vibe from the moment I walked in, and with sunlight pouring through the big windows, it was a great setting for brunch.

The clean but warm wood-toned interior stood out, and props that play up the brewery feel are placed here and there, so it's good for photos too. I felt it's a space where you can relax over brunch in the daytime, and spend an atmospheric evening with craft beer at night.

This time we ordered the tomato arugula jambon pizza and the double pepperoni pizza.

Tomato arugula jambon pizza: a fresh brunch pick

Just from the name, the tomato arugula jambon pizza sounds fresh. A generous heap of arugula sat on freshly baked dough, and the tangy tomato blended really well with the savory saltiness of the jambon (Korean-style dry-cured ham).

With every bite, the fragrance of the arugula filled my mouth, so it tasted light and never heavy. It's a really good pizza to choose for brunch.

Double pepperoni pizza: rich cheese and pepperoni

The double pepperoni pizza we ordered with it was piled with pepperoni, and my mouth watered just looking at it.

The double pepperoni pizza had plenty of cheese too, with a wonderfully stretchy texture, and the combo of salty pepperoni and rich cheese was, as always, a sure win. The dough was crisp yet chewy, and I enjoyed it to the very last bite.

Why it's good to order both pizzas together

The tomato arugula jambon pizza and the double pepperoni pizza each have a clear charm, so I was really glad we ordered both. One is fresh and light, the other rich and full-flavored, and alternating between them made both taste even better.

The craft beer is for next time

True to its name, Daecheon Brewery is also famous for its variety of house-brewed craft beers. This time I came mainly for brunch, but I liked it enough that I'd want to come back for beer and pizza together. If you like beer, I'd definitely recommend adding it to your travel route.

Does it suit families, dates and group get-togethers?

With its great atmosphere, Daecheon Brewery suited family meals, couples' dates and get-togethers with friends alike. Above all, I could feel care in every dish, and the staff were friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable.

With house-brewed craft beer, delicious pizza and a lovely atmosphere all in one place, my satisfaction was very high. It stays in my memory as somewhere I definitely want to stop by again on my next Boryeong trip.
