Yeonnam-dong café comparing two Colombian hand drips: Central Site
In short
Central Site Yeonnam (센트럴사이트 연남점) is a hand-drip coffee shop with a roasting lab and brewing bar in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. At Central Site Yeonnam, the writer compared two Colombian beans brewed as hand drip, Finca Quebraditas (12.0) and La Betania (10.0), alongside a classic tiramisu (8.5). Although both beans are Colombian, the two coffees differed in aroma and flavor, which makes Central Site Yeonnam a good fit for anyone who wants to focus on a single cup of coffee.

While looking for a café in Yeonnam-dong, I felt like having properly brewed coffee rather than my usual sweet drink, so I visited Central Site Yeonnam (센트럴사이트 연남점). Yeonnam-dong has tons of cafés, but it's fun to find one where you can pick your own beans and have them hand-dripped. At Central Site Yeonnam I chose two Colombian beans for hand drip, and since it seemed like a good match for coffee, I also tried the classic tiramisu.
How do you get to Central Site Yeonnam?

From Hongik Univ. Station Exit 3, walk past the Donggyo-dong intersection and keep going up toward Yeonnam-dong, and you'll get there quickly. It's just a 2-minute walk from the Yeonnam-dong bus stop, so very close.

The roasting lab and brewing bar, visible right from the entrance, caught my eye and looked really atmospheric.
Central Site Yeonnam's second floor and third-floor rooftop

The 2nd floor has a variety of tables and window seats with a tree view. I went up and checked out the seats first, and the window seats looked comfy too. Above all, it was a relaxed, totally good-vibes space,,

The 3rd floor is a rooftop. With the weather these days, it seems perfect for sitting in a cool breeze. Soft lighting is placed here and there, so it feels even more atmospheric at night.
Central Site Yeonnam menu and prices

What I ordered: Colombia Finca Quebraditas (12.0), Colombia La Betania (10.0) and classic tiramisu (8.5). I agonized over which beans to pick while looking at the menu, and this time went with two Colombian beans. Even beans from the same country can taste different depending on variety, origin and processing, and that's part of the fun of hand drip, right?
For desserts that go well with coffee, there were tiramisu and a strawberry trifle.
- Colombia Finca Quebraditas 12.0
- Colombia La Betania 10.0
- Classic tiramisu 8.5
Can you watch the hand drip being brewed at Central Site's brewing bar?

After ordering on the 1st floor, I could watch hand-drip coffee being brewed right away at the brewing bar next to it. I'd chosen Colombian beans, and after grinding them, the staff let me smell the aroma right away. Even though both were Colombian, each had its own charm.

They explained everything in detail, and watching the drip process was a visual treat too. They said they'd bring my order to my seat, so I settled in on the 2nd floor.
Colombia La Betania vs Finca Quebraditas: how did they taste?

I ordered hand-drip Colombia Finca Quebraditas and Colombia La Betania. Since just coffee felt like a shame, I added a classic tiramisu too.

I started with the Colombia La Betania Geisha Washed that the staff recommended. One sip of the hand-dripped coffee and it was clearly different from a regular Americano. The aroma hits first, and as you drink slowly, the flavor shifts little by little.
The second was the Colombia Finca Quebraditas Geisha Washed Peach Punch. Even though it's also Colombian, it felt different from the first cup, so comparing the two was fun. Drinking one first and then the next made the differences in aroma and flavor easier to notice.

Pairing Colombian hand-drip coffee with classic tiramisu
The classic tiramisu at Central Site Yeonnam has soft cream and coffee flavor together, so it paired nicely with hand drip. I thought coffee alone might be a bit plain, so I ordered it alongside.

Take a bite of the sweet dessert, then a sip of coffee, and the lingering sweetness blends with the coffee for a whole different feeling. If you love coffee, tiramisu on the side is a hard combo to get wrong.

Who is Central Site Yeonnam best for?
The best part of having coffee at Central Site this time was that I focused on a single cup more than usual. If you're looking for a Yeonnam-dong café that's not just a pretty space but lets you really enjoy the coffee itself, a brewing café like this should suit you.
If you want to relax over coffee in Yeonnam-dong or try hand drip from a variety of beans, I recommend Central Site Yeonnam.
