Where is Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch near Gyeongui Line Forest Park?

Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch is a café in an alley one block off Gyeongui Line Forest Park, somewhere between Gongdeok Station and Seogangdae Station. The weekend morning weather was lovely, so we went on a date to the park, and I'd heard there was a good Gongdeok café nearby, so we dropped in.

Walking along Gyeongui Line Forest Park with a breeze blowing made me so happy, haha. Then one block out of the park, a new space appeared!

And this is Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch! We came right at the 11am opening and quite a lot of customers still came in. Lots of them got takeout, haha. I didn't know why at first, but after tasting the coffee I understood right away.

What is the atmosphere like at Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch?

One side of the café is entirely floor-to-ceiling glass, so you can have your coffee while looking at the scenery outside. It was a café full of mood.

This is what the inside of this Gongdeok café looks like~ It's exactly the kind of clean, tidy café I like, and if it were near my home I'd happily come for coffee on my own. Every bit of the interior, the posters and the small props, was packed with the owner's taste.

Imagine having a coffee here on a day when the sun pours in. How nice would that be~~

Does Ieo Coffee Roasters have decaf lattes?

There was no decaf marking on the menu at Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch, but when I asked the owner, they said decaf is possible. So I ordered a decaf café latte and my husband ordered the almond latte.

The smell of freshly baked cookies was so fragrant that we ordered a walnut pecan chocolate cookie and a white macadamia cookie too!

Drip bags and coffee beans for sale at Ieo Coffee Roasters

This Gongdeok café also sells drip bags. A place like this surely has delicious beans too, so my expectations were sky-high the whole time I was ordering, haha.

They sell beans as well as drip bags, and next visit I'll have to buy some beans. Spoiler: the coffee here was seriously amazing!

Ta-da~ here's what we ordered: an iced café latte (decaf), an iced almond latte, a walnut pecan chocolate cookie and a white macadamia cookie~~

I sat at the bar table on purpose to look out the window, and when I saw the photos I was so moved, haha. It's so pretty, isn't it~~

How do the decaf latte and almond latte at Ieo Coffee Roasters taste?

The decaf café latte at Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch was the decaf latte of my life! I had decaf lattes at every café during my pregnancy, and no lie, this one came closest to the nuttiest, most roasty latte aroma.

Maybe they use nutty beans, but it was seriously delicious! Why doesn't my neighborhood have a latte like this? T_T It's honestly tragic... If this café were near my home, I'd come once or twice a week for takeout.

I also tried a sip of the almond latte my husband ordered, and we concluded that they're simply good at coffee here. They said the almond latte uses a handmade almond milk base, and it had more almond nuttiness than a regular latte. I'd been recommended this place as a Gongdeok café with especially good lattes, and I'm so, so satisfied.

Come at opening time for freshly baked levain cookies

When we got to Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch at opening time, two cookies, walnut pecan chocolate and white macadamia, were being baked first. So we were lucky enough to try freshly baked levain cookies.

And here come the crazy levain cookies~ These were out of this world too. My husband, who loves sweet things, said the walnut pecan chocolate cookie was the best cookie he's ever had, haha.

The walnut pecan chocolate cookie was packed with pecans and chocolate, and when you break into it, warm chocolate flows out. It was seriously crazy good. With tons of pecans embedded inside, every bite gave you the nuttiness of pecans together with the sweetness of chocolate. If you visit this Gyeongui Line Forest Park café, please do try this one~~

White macadamia levain cookie

Next, the white macadamia cookie! It was studded with white chocolate and macadamia nuts, and it was less sweet than the walnut pecan chocolate cookie. If you prefer something a little less sweet, I totally recommend this one too.

The cookies here are all huge and thick, and after eating both of them I felt I didn't even need lunch. I'd planned to have a hamburger for lunch, but I just skipped it, haha.

Would I go back to Ieo Coffee Roasters by Gyeongui Line Forest Park?

Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch was a Gyeongui Line Forest Park café where we enjoyed a delicious latte and delicious levain cookies in a relaxed space with soft music. It's a place I'll definitely visit again whenever I'm at the park, haha. If you love coffee, especially lattes, I highly recommend stopping by :)
