A hot Western-style spot in Yeonnam-dong these days!! I visited Hey Joji with a friend. The menu photos alone looked so delicious, omg~!!

Hey Joji is open 12:00–21:00, with last order at 20:00. There's no parking, so it's best to go by public transport.

It was close to 2 pm and it was still crowded! There were two parties ahead of us, so I think we waited about 20 minutes before going in, haha.

The interior isn't big, but it's small and prettily decorated!
One funny thing: when we went, all the customers were women, lol. It seems to be popular with women.
There was quite a line behind us too... I wondered just how good this place must be to have a constant wait, so I was super excited until the food came out. Which made me even hungrier, MAX hunger mode.

We ordered the duck steak cream risotto (₩17,000) and the bocconcini meat chili tomato pasta (₩17,000). We went back and forth on what to get, and this is the pasta and risotto we settled on!!

Duck steak cream risotto
The duck steak and the cream risotto went together so well. The rice had a lovely chewy texture, haha. Really delicious.
Bocconcini meat chili tomato pasta
The spiciness of the bocconcini meat chili tomato pasta was excellent. Especially when eaten with the cheese on top, the heat mellowed out and it tasted even better!
The cream risotto can be a little rich, and meeting the spicy tomato pasta made the two dishes pair really well!! The risotto's smooth cream sauce blended nicely with the chewy rice, and the spicy tomato sauce kept me reaching for the pasta. Ordering both let us enjoy two different flavors, which made it even better!
Is Hey Joji in Yeonnam-dong worth visiting with a friend?
I visited Hey Joji while looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere in Yeonnam-dong with a friend! There was a wait, but the food was delicious, so it was worth it, haha. It was also a perfect place to chat over a good meal :)
I'm so happy to have found such a tasty Western restaurant near Hongik Univ. Station, which I hadn't visited in a long time, haha. I'd totally recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Yeonnam-dong!!
