A day when I was craving fresh sashimi with a cold drink. I headed to 'Damiseon Gangnam Station Branch,' known near Gangnam Station for its generous full-table spread. Here's my honest review of the whole raw fish set!

Damiseon Gangnam Station Branch is on the basement level of the building right in front of Gangnam Station Exit 5.

Walking in, the space was much bigger and cleaner than I expected. It wasn't noisy at all, so it made for a comfortable place to chat over a meal.

With plenty of seats and well-arranged group tables, it seemed perfect for gatherings or work dinners. The restroom being inside the restaurant was also convenient.

I ordered the whole raw fish set (활어회 한상) at Damiseon Gangnam Station Branch. As soon as I ordered, a generous spread began arriving.

A refreshing clam soup and soft steamed egg woke up my appetite first. The hot clam soup had a clear, deep broth. Cheongyang chili gave it a spicy kick. The softly puffed steamed egg was comforting. And the classic corn cheese, a sashimi restaurant staple, was a welcome sight too.

The sea squirt that came alongside was full of ocean flavor, joined by chewy abalone and tender boiled octopus that wasn't tough at all. It was fun trying so many different seafoods. And this wasn't even the end.

Nicely browned, savory grilled mackerel pike. Freshly fried, crispy fried shrimp. And finally, a spicy, refreshing fish-bone stew that worked perfectly both as a last drinking snack and as a way to finish the meal. It was a course that kept coming without a pause.

Fresh sashimi, of course, plus a steady stream of varied side dishes. The generous portions, great taste, and comfortable atmosphere were all satisfying. If you're looking for a quality sashimi restaurant in the middle of Gangnam, this is a solid choice.
