Suwon burger restaurant: lettuce bun swap & onion rings, Base Burger
In short
Base Burger Gwanggyo Avenue France Branch is a good-value handmade burger restaurant on the 2nd floor of Avenue France in Gwanggyo, Suwon. Two people ordered a Double Base Burger, a Chicken Burger and a single Base Burger, swapped the set fries for onion rings, ate their fill for a total in the mid-30,000-won range and found the flavours clean. Base Burger suits anyone who wants a soft, sandwich-like handmade burger rather than heavy fast food.

A great food spot at Avenue France in Gwanggyo: this is Base Burger Gwanggyo Avenue France Branch (바스버거 광교아브뉴프랑점). The address is 85 Centraltown-ro, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi, 2nd floor, B205-1, and it is open daily 11:00-21:00.

What kind of place is Base Burger at Avenue France in Gwanggyo, Suwon?
Base Burger is a handmade burger restaurant that is easy to visit when you want a simple but good-value meal at Avenue France in Gwanggyo. There are plenty of really tasty restaurants packed into Avenue France, and Base Burger is one where you can have a meal without any pressure.

Free potato chips and sauces at Base Burger
The most memorable thing as soon as we walked into Base Burger was the free potato chips!! The chips were better quality than I expected and super crunchy, so I think kids would love them. Ketchup and mayonnaise are also provided in single-use packets, so it's hygienic. You can just grab some and eat comfortably during your meal.
What are the menu and prices at Base Burger?

Burger sets at Base Burger start from the low ₩10,000s, and single burgers are under ₩10,000. It's a burger place with really good value, so we could eat at a genuinely decent price. On top of that, drinks can be refilled once inside the restaurant, which made it even more reasonable.

Can you swap the bun for lettuce at Base Burger?
At Base Burger you can have lettuce instead of the burger bun and eat it like a veggie burger. We ordered a Double Base Burger, a chicken burger, and a single Base Burger, and the lettuce option was something I really liked while ordering. You usually see this at handmade burger places in the US, and if you think about dieting, did you know a burger is actually a pretty solid combination? Honestly, apart from the carbs, what goes inside is a fairly hearty and healthy menu.

Swapping the set fries for onion rings at Base Burger
We changed the fries in the Base Burger set to onion rings, and the onion rings were good quality and a generous portion, so I was satisfied. We ordered three burgers, so I actually worried it might feel a bit heavy, but it tasted cleaner and healthier than I expected.

Instead of ordinary lettuce, Base Burger uses cute butterhead lettuce, and its soft texture and mild flavor went well with the burger. That made it even better at supporting the meaty flavor of the patty.

How much did a meal for two cost at Base Burger?
We ordered three burgers at Base Burger and the bill came to the mid-₩30,000s. These days, going out for two people often means almost ₩20,000 or more per person. So being able to feed two people for under ₩40,000 was great value in itself, and that's for three whole burgers!

Free mozzarella cheese sticks with a Naver Map coupon or receipt review
At Base Burger you can also get mozzarella cheese sticks with a coupon downloaded from Naver Map (Korea's main map app). If downloading the coupon on Naver is difficult, you can get them by writing a receipt review. And the cheese sticks are better quality than I expected, with mozzarella that stretches and stretches, really delicious, so I'd definitely recommend downloading the coupon or writing a receipt review to try them. There's also a spicy version, which was slightly hot, the kind of taste I think adults would like.

Are the sauces free at Base Burger?
Most of the sauces at Base Burger are free. Not just the Base Burger sauce but also various sauces like mentaiko (pollock roe) mayo are provided free, so ask the staff and enjoy your fries or burger in more different flavors.

What does Base Burger taste like?
Base Burger was a handmade burger place with a healthy, soft, sandwich-like taste. Personally, I prefer a soft, sandwich-like handmade burger over the dopamine-explosion kind where the burger flavor hits hard, and Base Burger was exactly that. If you're looking for a great handmade burger spot or an easy place for a simple meal at Avenue France in Gwanggyo, Base Burger seems like a really good choice.

Chicken burger vs beef burger at Base Burger
I wondered whether the Base Burger chicken burger would be greasy, but it tasted very fresh rather than oily, so I think adults and kids alike would enjoy it. Personally, though, the regular beef burger was tastier, so I recommend the burger with the beef patty.

I visited with my partner, and after three burgers plus onion rings we were nicely full. We enjoyed it!! Sometimes fast food leaves my stomach a bit upset or bloated, but Base Burger felt very clean afterwards, so I think even older people would enjoy it. There were also quite a few people eating alone. Since it's a handmade burger place, it seemed fine for a solo meal too.
