For the holiday, my friend and I went out for some cool lakeside scenery and a sugar recharge. After lunch we were craving good bread and coffee, so we looked for a spacious place nearby. This is my visit report on [Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery], a Siheung bakery café where I could relax with hearty coffee and freshly baked bread surrounded by lush plant interiors — a perfect Mulwang bakery for a family outing ^^

Where is Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery, and what's the layout like?
Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery is a large standalone café building behind a traditional barley rice restaurant near Mulwang Reservoir. The 1st floor holds the baking room and seating, while the 2nd floor has the order counter and bakery display case. To choose your menu you need to go up to the 2nd floor, and note there's no elevator, only stairs. ^^

Spacious seating with a botanical-garden feel
Inside Flowerpot Cafe, big pots and cute little props scattered everywhere give it a lush, cozy atmosphere, so you feel good the moment you walk in. The seating gaps were also very generous, and I saw a lot of families and couples visiting together. It had the vibe of a Mulwang Reservoir café where you can comfortably relax no matter who you come with.

What are Flowerpot Cafe's bread prices and recommended items?

The display case in front of the counter on the 2nd floor of Flowerpot Cafe is full of delicious bread made fresh on-site every day ^^ Even though it's a large café, the bread prices weren't excessively expensive but felt reasonable, so it was easy to pick a bunch of things without worry.

Chewy sweet potato bread, walnut cream cheese bread, red bean bread
We picked the 'chewy sweet potato bread,' 'walnut cream cheese bread,' and 'red bean bread.' The chewy sweet potato bread has glutinous rice mixed in for a chewy texture with the rich, distinctive sweetness of sweet potato — perfect for a sugar boost on a drowsy afternoon. But the one that completely won me over was the 'walnut cream cheese bread'!

The walnut cream cheese bread has a crispy, sweet meringue coating on the outside, while the inside combines crunchy walnuts with soft cream cheese, showing a perfect balance that wasn't overly sweet ^^ The red bean bread, at just around ₩2,000s, was also packed with generous red bean paste, showing the hearty character you'd expect from a Mulwang bakery.

How's the coffee at Flowerpot Cafe?

Flowerpot Cafe's iced caffe latte had absolutely no acidity — just a heavy, nutty coffee bean flavor that paired well with the sweet bread. We ordered the cool 'iced caffe latte' to go with our sweet bread, and my friend and I both gasped in admiration after the first sip ^^ The deep, nutty flavor of the beans was intense, making it a perfect match for dessert. This confirmed it as a great coffee spot as well as a Siheung bakery café.

Pairing with the moist fresh cream cake
After the bread, we also tried the generously sized 'fresh cream cake.' The cake sponge was very moist and soft without any dryness. The layered fresh cream also didn't feel too heavy or greasy in the mouth, so pairing it with a sip of the nutty latte gave a clean, perfect finish ^^
What are the parking and visiting tips at Flowerpot Cafe?

Off to one side of the counter at Flowerpot Cafe, there's a neat 'self-service packing station' where you can take home leftover bread without any hesitation ^^ Having to return your finished plates and trays from the 1st floor back up to the 2nd floor counter was slightly inconvenient, but the sense of spaciousness the place gives more than made up for it.
Above all, in an outlying area where parking is usually tricky, being able to comfortably park in the dedicated lot for about 20 cars right in front of the store is the biggest advantage. The space is clean and the bread and coffee are excellent, so it's a place that everyone from grandparents to kids could enjoy without complaint. I strongly recommend it as a Mulwang Reservoir café and Mulwang bakery where you can fill up heartily after a refreshing lake walk ^^
Parking and discount tips
When heading out to the outskirts, parking is the most important thing, right? Flowerpot Cafe has a dedicated parking area right in front of the building with room for about 20 cars, free of charge! One more tip: if you bring a receipt or payment record from a nearby restaurant after eating, you can get a 10% discount on drinks ^^ Don't forget to use it for your post-meal coffee!
Overall verdict: who is this for?
A relaxed break with affordable handmade bread and nutty latte, enjoyed in a forest of green plants!
