Beef BBQ near Ansan City Hall: kkotgalbi lunch set for 3, Yangsimso

I finally had beef again after a long time! I got to eat delicious beef with the rib bone still attached, and I was so happy haha

Where is Yangsimso Ansan Gojan Branch, and where do you park?

Yangsimso Ansan Gojan Branch (양심소 안산고잔점) is at 33 Danggok-ro, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi, South Korea, 1st floor, Unit 119, near Ansan City Hall and the 119 station. It is open daily 11:00-22:30, and you can use the Praum City building parking lot free for 2 hours, though visitors can only use basement level 1.

Atmosphere at Yangsimso Ansan Gojan Branch

The restaurant is on the first floor and the sign is big, so it was easy to find.

This is the view as soon as you walk in. With the aisle in the middle, the left side has regular tables and the right side is split into private spaces.

It looked pretty big from outside, and once inside it really was huge!

I took photos inside a private room too. It's quite spacious, so it looked just right for group gatherings.

The window-side seats have floor-to-ceiling glass, so it feels open and not stuffy, which I liked.

Aprons were hung on a mannequin, which looked pretty and made them easy to grab haha. There was also a self-service corner, so you can get more side dishes yourself if you want extra.

Lunchtime parking: the building's basement beats the public lot

I knew you could park in the Praum City building, but since only basement level 1 was allowed for visitors, I parked in the public lot in front of the restaurant, Sinwon Plaza Back Public Parking Lot (신원프라자뒤공영주차장). I went at lunchtime and had a hard time waiting for a spot, ugh. I recommend the building's basement parking!

Yes, Yangsimso Ansan Gojan Branch has a separate lunch special menu. I looked at the menu and went with the lunch special. If you have a lunch meetup like I did, I recommend giving it a try haha

Ordering the kkotgalbi set (lunch special) for 3

The three of us ordered three lunch special kkotgalbi sets (flower-cut beef short ribs). I heard the lunch special is available on weekends too. After we ordered, they set out the side dishes: cucumber kimchi, chonggak kimchi (ponytail radish kimchi), and young radish kimchi, all fermented just right, so everyone in our group said they were delicious haha, and we were happy!

The real kkotgalbi with the rib bone attached came out haha. Doesn't it look gorgeous?

While the meat was grilling, we ate the cabbage salad, and the sauce went so well with it that we kept reaching for more haha

The taste of kkotgalbi grilled over charcoal

We grilled the kkotgalbi ourselves over charcoal. We were chatting while grilling so it got a bit busy... but it cooked quickly haha

It was cut into bite-size pieces before grilling haha. Being charcoal, the aroma seemed even better too.

I pushed the meat to the edge so it wouldn't burn and started eating. The quality is good. It was tender and full of juice, with juice bursting in my mouth with every bite!

Charcoal sausage with popping corn

We had the charcoal sausage too, and it was so good, sob! It didn't feel like a cheap sausage but a real one with a high meat content! Each sausage had corn inside, and the popping texture was great.

The glossy kkotgalbi... I even made a GIF of it. It's real galbi meat with the rib bone attached, so I was satisfied haha. I recommend the kkotgalbi!

At Yangsimso Ansan Gojan Branch, the lunch special let us enjoy kkotgalbi at a good price. The restaurant is big and roomy, so it looked fine for group gatherings and company dinners too.
