This Ansan eel restaurant, Songnim Bok Jangeo, is located on the 2nd floor of the Praum City building right in front of Ansan City Hall!
The restaurant is spacious with plenty of room between tables, so it never felt crowded. I'd recommend Songnim Bok Jangeo as a group dinner spot in Ansan too!

Here's the menu at this Ansan eel restaurant. Since it's an all-you-can-eat eel place, you're charged per person. There are also various meal items, good for when you want a little refresh while eating eel.
This is the self-bar. They bring out the basic table setting first, then you add whatever else you want from here! From ginger, an essential with eel, to perilla leaf pickles and green onion kimchi — all good side dishes to pair with eel!

At first they bring you one eel, one strip of pork belly, and pork neck, and after that you just help yourself from the self-bar!
They gave us a bottle of bokbunja wine (Korean black raspberry wine) on the house at this Ansan eel restaurant. Proper body-boosting stuff.

As soon as we finished each piece of eel, they'd bring more right over and grill it beside us haha. You might think, wasn't the plump stuff just for the first round? Not at all. The eel from the self-bar is exactly the same!! It's cut nicely for easy grilling too.
I dip the eel into the sauce loaded with plenty of ginger. So good~ Who came up with that sauce and ginger combo? It goes so well with eel.
Gotta wrap one in a perilla leaf pickle too, right? The eel just keeps coming...
So disappointing that I couldn't drink the bokbunja wine along with everything since I had to drive... My husband though — eel and bokbunja, going wild lol. Next time I'm coming back to this Ansan eel restaurant, Songnim Bok Jangeo Ansan City Hall branch, so I can have the bokbunja too.
I lost count of how many rounds we went back for lol. Anyway, this was the most eel I've ever eaten in my life. Oh! And they also swap out the grill plate and add more charcoal when the fire gets low~
Eat it with perilla pickle + eel + ginger combo and it truly never ends lol
Thinking this was really the last round, they grilled up the pork belly and chicken neck that had come out with everything else lol. The pork belly and chicken neck held their own too. But eel is still #1!
