Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao is a lamb skewer and Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor of World Tower 3 on Chaekhyanggi-ro in Paju, Gyeonggi. Crossing the bridge from Gimpo, the writer ordered yang kkochi (lamb skewers), tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), and fried rice, and finished off even the complimentary bean sprout stir-fry. A solid pick when you want thick lamb skewers and Chinese dishes together in one place.
Hwadegeuro Gan Godeungeo Siksa Branch is a grilled fish and hot pot rice (sotbap) restaurant in Sikjang-dong, Ilsan-dong-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi. Meeting a friend after work, the writer ordered the wood-fired pork sotbap set and the mackerel sotbap set, then piled on free self-bar sides like japchae, jeon, tteokbokki, and doenjang soup with extra rice. Two people ate until full for under ₩40,000, earning this place a spot as a go-to dinner stop.
