Paju pub summer night, combination pizza and beer: Long Time No See

The heat wave keeps going even at night~ I really wonder when this scorcher of a summer is going to end. When it's this hot, cold draft beer hits different. Craving good snacks and ice-cold beer, I headed to Yadang Station bar Long Time No See, haha.

Long Time No See Yadang Branch's location and the before-7pm service

Yadang Station bar Long Time No See sits on the 2nd floor of the building with the Yadang Station Lotte Cinema. They're also running an event where any table that arrives before 7pm each day gets a free injeolmi (sweet rice cake) ice cream, haha.

There's a cute photo zone right by the entrance too, so it's great for snapping a few pictures^^

The window seats overlooking Yadang Station — what time should you go to snag one?

The view through the big window shows Yadang Station in full. It was scorching outside, but the place was so cool inside~ Sipping ice-cold beer while looking out at that wide-open view is basically paradise, haha.

I got there just after 7pm and the window seats were already all taken. Even the middle tables were packed by 8pm. Seems like a lot of people come here for a second round after drinks elsewhere^^

When a group comes in, the staff quickly push tables together to make a group seat. ^^ The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, so it works well for a date, and also fits company dinners or any kind of gathering.^^

Freebies and corkage-free policy

Write a Naver receipt review for a free cheese ball, follow their Instagram for a free drink, or add their KakaoTalk channel for free cheese crust — worth doing if you can^^

They also run various events like birthday specials, kids' drinks, and a Lotte Cinema movie set. And since it's a corkage-free spot, bringing your own wine or liquor of choice for a special occasion could make for a memorable, atmospheric night^^

Ordering the Long Time No See Best Set

They sell pizza, chicken, pasta, rabokki, sides, desserts, gratin, and more, so you can pick whatever suits your taste, which was nice. We went with the Long Time No See Best Set so we could try several menu items at once, haha.

When you order, they bring out popcorn too~ Freshly fried, crispy, salty popcorn as a basic snack — how great is that~~ haha. Perfect for a light bite with beer while waiting for the food! haha

You can grab more popcorn freely at the self-bar~ The self-bar also has water, hutgae tea, cheese powder, chili sauce, and various other sauces and tableware, so you can help yourself to whatever you need.

Self-pour draft beer with the red wristband

When you walk in, they give everyone a red wristband~ its special purpose is for pouring your own draft beer.

The variety of draft beer was really impressive. Blanc, Kilkenny, Budweiser, Redrock, Lindemans Pêche Lambic, Asahi, and more — they had over 15 different beer tap machines, so it was fun picking your favorite and pouring it yourself^^

Each beer had a description of its origin, type, and flavor written next to it, which was really helpful when choosing.

Pull a cold cup from the fridge, tag your wristband on the beer you want, and pour it yourself^^ It's kind of like a beer gas station — picking whatever type and amount you want and pouring it yourself is so fun, haha.

How to pour with less foam

Controlling the foam can be a bit tricky at first, haha, but if you tilt the cup and let the beer run down the side wall, you get less foam^^

My husband and I each poured the beer we wanted and brought them back to the table~ Just looking at it feels refreshing, doesn't it? haha

The Best Set lineup: rabokki + chicken wings & drumettes + pizza

The food came out fast too~ Our Long Time No See Best Set was made up of rabokki + chicken wings & drumettes + pizza (I had no idea the portions would be this big.)

The rabokki (rice cake and fish cake stir-fry) comes in cheese or rosé flavor. We went with cheese rabokki, haha. It had a generous layer of mozzarella cheese and was loaded with rice cakes and fish cake^^

The chicken wings & drumettes came with fries too, which paired perfectly as a beer snack~ Crispy chicken and salty fries — perfect to enjoy alongside draft beer!

We picked the combination pizza~ True to a craft pizza specialty shop, it had a chewy crust, savory cheese, and generous toppings piled on.

Yadang Station bar Long Time No See uses a black rice crust fermented for 72 hours and natural mozzarella cheese~ maybe that's why the crust was so chewy and the cheese so full of flavor^^

Enjoy a glass of beer~ and sip some hutgae tea in between, haha. It was surprisingly tasty.
