A place I seek out even though I’m not big on hangover soup
I’m not really into hangover soup or gukbap (rice soup), but I go crazy for Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk 🤍! Today, let me introduce Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch, the number-one hangover soup I’ve tried!

Why it’s great for a busy Ingye-dong lunch

My office is near Ingye-dong, so I visit Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk often! The reason I especially come here at lunchtime is that the food arrives quickly after ordering, so even busy office workers can eat fast and get back to work!

Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch has a spacious interior and a pleasant atmosphere. There are options from solo seats to tables for four to six, making it suitable for eating alone as well as company dinners.

When you’re looking for lunch in Ingye-dong and wondering, “What should I eat today?” Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk is the answer. You can have a seriously delicious, satisfying meal here. If you go between 11:00 and 12:00 or after 14:00, you can enjoy a more relaxed meal, too.
Hangover soup and dombe meat menu

At Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk, you can choose between hangover soup and tripe soup, and its traditional Jeju dombe meat comes in small, medium, and large portions, so it doesn’t feel like too much to order as a side.

The basic sides are kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), Cheongyang chili peppers, and minced garlic! Add one spoonful of the garlic right before eating the hangover soup, and it really takes the gukbap flavor up a notch. There are also unlimited free bowls of rice at the self-service bar, so I especially recommend it to anyone who eats a lot of rice!

Eunhuine Haejangguk contains seonji (congealed beef blood), but you can order it without seonji or dadegi (spicy seasoning). Uncooked takeaway is available too, so if dining in is difficult, I recommend taking it home!

They also run a receipt-review event, so join in and get a freebie! We got drinks, haha.
Our hangover soup and small dombe meat order
Ta-da—the food is set out! It came out so quickly, which was great for having a speedy meal during a busy lunch hour. We ordered hangover soup and a small dombe meat.

I ordered the dombe meat because it’s Jeju-style meat sliced on a wooden board, just as its name suggests.

With its tender texture and clean flavor, it works as both a rice-stealing side and a drinking snack all at once. The small portion was just the right amount for two people!

Deep beef-bone broth and generous ingredients
Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch serves hangover soup with a depth of broth that feels different.

It’s hangover soup that really does the job—they say it uses a rich beef-bone broth simmered for 24 hours!

Haenam ugeoji (dried cabbage leaves), fresh bean sprouts, and tender meat with no gamey smell—what a perfect combination... haha. Even I, someone who doesn’t like hangover soup, fell completely for Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk, a great spot in Suwon’s Ingye-dong.

The dombe meat is so wonderfully chewy and delicious, so I really hope you order it as a side.... haha.

It’s packed with glass noodles, bean sprouts, meat, seonji, ugeoji, and more, so you can absolutely sort out a filling meal.

The rice is unlimited too, so I had two bowls! Haha.
